*Raises hand

My DH’s entire family is fantastic.  I love his mom and dad as if they’re my own parents.  His sisters (and their husbands) are so sweet.  I’m so excited to “have” sisters, since I just have a younger brother.  My niece and nephew are the two cutest kids alive.  DH’s extended family is just a hoot, so much fun, and full of love.  I couldn’t have asked for better in~laws, except for the fact that they live on the opposite side of the country.

Yep!! All my inlaws are awesome. They all came to our destination wedding, when my family couldn’t be bothered. They have welcomed Dirty Delete and I since day one with open arms.

Me too!  FI’s family is definitely my 2nd family they are sooo nice and very similar to my family, we always have a great time with them – I wish they lived closer so we could see them more.

Absolutely!

My FI’s family is brilliant! My Future Mother-In-Law is so warm, friendly, would do anything for anyone and is intelligent as all hell. Same with FFIL! My Future Sister-In-Law is hilarious! And so great to be around!!

We are living with them whilst our house is being finished off (a little country cottage, sharing some of their 500ish acres of land)

I DO, I DO! Future Mother-In-Law is one of the kindest, most thoughtful people that I have ever met. Future Sister-In-Law and I get along really well. We are only 3 months apart, so we relate really well. Future Father-In-Law and I get along ok, but he’s really a very nice person who means well.

I LOVE my FMIL! She is such a warm and loving person, and she has accepted me with open arms into her family. I’m so lucky! I was really worried before we met for several reasons- a) I’m quite a bit older than Fiance, b) I’m divorced with 2 kids and he’s never been married, c) he’s an only child, d) we live on complete opposite sides of the world, e) we met online, and f) he didn’t tell them about me until we had been dating for over 2 years and had actually flown to meet each other first (he’s a very private person and didn’t really tell anyone anything until we knew we were serious.)

But as nervous as I was, his mum made me feel very welcome and we are very close 🙂 She says I’m the daughter that she never had. I just wish I lived closer. 🙁 When I’ve gone to visit, I spend a lot of time with her, just the two of us.  I probably talk to her as much as I talk to my own mom, who lives in town :p   I like Future Father-In-Law too, but he’s a bit harder to read as far as how he feels. He’s not really one for showing emotions or anything, much more of a jokester and gruff kind of guy, but I’ve always had fun when we’ve spent time together.  Future Mother-In-Law is currently trying to help me sort out the International wedding issues we’re coming across- I don’t know how I’d cope if she and I didn’t get along as wonderfully as we do!

Totally!!  FI & my families are both similar so it’s been so easy on us.  We both love each other’s families!  I don’t think it would work if we didn’t because we are both very close to our families.  I was debating guest lists with my mum because I didn’t want it to feel too uneven when most of FI’s family cannot make it and she said to me “but we’re his family too!”  Awwww.

I love my Future In-Laws, they treat me like I was their daughter. I get along better with FIs dad than my own sometimes. They rock!
