Future Father-In-Law and Future Mother-In-Law are really great ๐Ÿ™‚ Future Mother-In-Law and Future Sister-In-Law have a love/hate relationship which brings out the bad in both of them, but it’s never directed towards me or my Fiance. We just get to see it rear its big ugly head every once in a while.

Everyone (including his aunts, uncles, cousins etc) have made the comment at least once that they are so happy Fiance and I met… lol. He’s 34 and I think they all assumed he would continue to date whackos for the rest of his life.

@OhwhataJenn:  Whooo! Glad to see we have Father-In-Law we love! My FIL’s are seriously the most incredible people, I adore them and cannot wait to spend more holidays and time with them! ๐Ÿ™‚

My Future In-Laws live in Africa – of course I love them! Innocent

Seriously though…they are very nice people.  They’ve only visited the states a few times since we have been together, but they are sweet.

My in-laws are absolutely amazing. I adore all of my husband’s family. I feel bad for my husband… he inherited my family. ๐Ÿ˜‰

My fiance is Hispanic (born in Nicaragua) and all of his family lives in Miami (we’re in Indianapolis).  I’ve only met them once when we visited after we got engaged and they are THE sweetest people.  They were so loving and welcoming to me despite being the girl that took their son away and managed to make me feel like a part of the family despite the language barrier (they speak very little English).  I just adore them and can’t wait to be an official part of their family.

Yep, I love my DBF’s mother. I’d even argue that I share more common ground with her than most of my peers in university. We have chatted about everything from our mutual habit of going straight to the clearance rack at department stores to our vegetarian diets, and a lot of different things in between. Speaking of the vegetarian stuff, she loves how I enjoy some of the foods her omnivorous sons dislike, such as quinoa and her lentil soup. From what little I can tell, I get along well enough with DBF’s father; his parents are divorced and I’ve only seen his dad twice, and I only really talked to him one of those times. To give you an idea, I’ve seen DBF’s uncle and grandmother twice, too, and they live overseas!

On the other hand, I don’t really care for DBF’s brothers. His twin is aloof and kind of mean, and his younger brother teases me by calling me Sarah…my name isn’t remotely close to Sarah. >.<

I love my Future Mother-In-Law and FI’s immediate family to death! His mum has always been so supportive, and we gel really well Smile I honestly consider his family my family, and I couldn’t be more grateful to have her as a FMIL! I’ve never understood the whole “hate the mother in-law” thing, and I think it would be so horrible if we didn’t get on so well. We can spend hours chatting, shopping together etc. I don’t really get along well with one of his aunts, and she has really pissed me off sometimes!! But that’s okay, I only have to see her once a year Tongue Out

@OhwhataJenn:  I love my whole future in law family! ๐Ÿ˜€ Sometimes they’re more fun than mine!

Fiance and I are atheists, and some of his family is hypercatholic, so they butt heads but I try to stay out of it… other than that issue though I feel incredibly lucky that my future in-laws are so awesome!

I absolutely love my Future Mother-In-Law. She sent us an interfaith holiday card (I’m Jewish, FH was raised Catholic) and signed it “Mom.” FH and I went to her house for Christmas Eve, and she planned the entire meal around me, because I’m a vegetarian: two kinds of vegetarian soups, grilled cheese, phyllo dough stuffed with veggies, etc. She’s amazing!! ๐Ÿ˜€

Yes I LOVE my Mother-In-Law.  My Brother-In-Law and I both call her Mom.  SHe seriously is amazing.  She is supportive and kind, but she has no problem busting your chops over things…. and she’s  normally right for doing so. I am so flipping lucky!

I just don’t get how so many women don’t get along with their in-laws. If they don’t like you, there MIGHT just be a reason… I love my soon to be in-laws and they love me. I see them just about every day and quite enjoy spending time around them.

@roxirose:  Sometimes the reason is that the FIL’s are just batshit crazy Wink But I’ve never really had an issue with parents not liking me…just heard horror stories from friends.
