So, since we’re still waiting to TTC, I thought I would share our names and see if anyone else has names picked out before they are trying to get pregnant. This originally started because I’ve had my first boy’s name picked for about 10 years (first name is after my great-grandfather). Then I thought, I better choose other names to have stories behind, because that isn’t fair to our 2nd or 3rd born to not have a pre-chosen special name too!
I’d also love advice: Do you love these? Hate them? Too long? What are your “chosen” names?
Channing Wade (After my great-grandfather)
Madeline Elizabeth (My hubby chose this one – he loves the name Madeline)
What do you think, Bees??

I have been picking out baby names my whole life! I’m still not set but I think about it a lot!! I really like Madeline Elizabeth : ) And Channing Wade.

Oh we’ve had names picked out (yes, we) since like, 1 year in. haha. I’m not going to post them because I’m superstitious and stupid. 🙂 Haha.
I really like your names. 🙂 We *almost* picked Madelyn Noelle (after my mom), but there are a lot of “Maddie’s” in our area and that bugged me.

I’ve been picking names my whole life too. Fiance and I already have names picked for our future kids. 3 boys and 3 girls names so it evens out.
I adore all your names!! especially Nolan, that’s awesome. I have Elizabeth and Madeline picked too ’cause they’re family names.

I love the names Channing and Nolan! Great choices!
Husband and I are going to name our first daughter Lillium Chantilly. (Lillium is the song I walked down the aisle to, it’s Latin for “the lily”)
For our son I want the name Jedidiah (no middle picked out). I love that I could call him Jedi. 😛

love your names Fiance and I have names picked out but like ameliabedelia I wont post them because I am superstitious and I am afraid they will become super popular.

We started picking names back in 2009! Fiance tends to like names with gruff, german pronunciations. PERFECT EXAMPLE: We haven’t been able to decide on any girl names yet. He likes Analeisse. Pronounced “Ona-leez-a” I like it pronounced “Anna-leese”… This kid better not be a “she.”

@MrsEdamame: We’re doing the same thing. It’s hard not to when you’ve got friends galore pregnant in the 2011 baby boom. For us, it’s just one girl’s name:
-Amelia Marie (nickname: Amy). It’s Eleven’s companion’s name. We fell in love with the name instantly when we watched the show.
Also, we’re waiting to try around the end of the year. Lots of fun planned for the summer and going off bc in July.

Yeppers! All the names have one component named after a family member.
Now to convince my Fiance to have 4 kids….mwahahahaha. 😉

@brox: OH thank you for spelling it right. Not to be offensive to any bees who spell it differently, but it honestly bothers me when people try and change the spelling of “Amelia.” I realize there are different variations, but whatever I’m weird. 🙂

We’re going to start TTC on our wedding night, but we’ve talked alot about names and basically aready have them picked out 🙂

@firsttimemom: My cousin has a daughter named Annalise (pronounce Anna-leese). Is the other pronunciation cultural or does he just like it? I’ve never heard of it before.

Yup. I have my girl names picked out and FH is in charge of boy names. I get final say though 🙂 I wont post mine because I’m selfish.

We’re (hopefully) about 4-5 years away from TTC, but we’ve already decided on the following girls’ names:
Boys’ names have been tougher to agree on, but right now we’re both liking the name Miles. I’ve always liked Omri but my husband cringes every time I say it, haha.

I totally have a google excel document that I randomly add names to when I’m bored or inspired by one and have my Fiance on it too, haha. We are not even close to TTC yet, though I wish we were at that point in our lives. =)
