I’ve taken a couple spin classes and after a few weeks, it won’t hurt so bad. There’s really nothing you can do about it (no seat adjustment will fix it). I took mine once a week and by the 3rd week, my butt wasn’t so sore. But I know how much it hurts!!!

I”ve heard that you can get shorts with gel inserts on the butt. That might help a little!

If you are really into spin, definitely invest in some padded bike shorts and maybe even bring your own padded seat cover! Those are both lifesavers for me in class.

OH and there are specific ways to have your bike and seat adjusted… you should get the instructor to help you with that. But it won’t help the butt pain 🙂

All I know is spin will kick your ass! Literally. Maybe you can get some sort of padded shorts?

True story. My husband bought a new bike to ride in the summer and it apparently had the worst seat ever. I bought him a padded cover for it bu he still complained about his butt hurting for probably 6 mos. I know, that probably doesn’t help.

my bottom hurts when I ride. I tried everything including padded shorts and the only thing I found that works is this product called [link removed for self-promotion] Good luck and pedal on!
