jubiebee:  I’m doing my own makeup too!! I wear makeup most days, and feel comfortable doing it myself. I will be following a YouTube tutorial from Jaclyn Hill for the tips and tricks and the specific eye look, which will be a little smokier and smoother than my usual, and adding some individual false lashes. I already use long-lasting, high quality products that work with my skin and I’m comfortable with, so I decided to do my own. 🙂 I’m excited to see what other brides have to say!

I fully planned on doing my own makeup. Bought a lot and practiced …but as the wedding got closer, I opted to have it done professionally (airbrush) and so glad I did. I don’t think I would’ve been able to pull it off on wedding day because of nerves.

Something to take into major consideration…

I did!! Didn’t plan to originally, but due to some unfortunate circumstances I had to, and it turned out great! I think it really depends on what kind of look you normally wear/what you’re going for. I never wear much makeup daily so for the wedding I just wanted a natural look, which is easier than if you’re going for super glam! As far as hair, just consider how much time you’ll have/whether you’ll be too stressed about it. And practice, practice, practice before the big day! Good luck 🙂

I did my own makeup on my wedding day. It turned out great! I wear a full face of makeup most days so I was pretty confident that I’d do a nice job. I actually had a trial done with a makeup artist and hated how my makeup came out so I decided to just do it myself. I’m so glad I did.

Just practice a few times beforehand and make sure you give yourself plenty of time so you don’t get too nervous or feel like you need to rush. I found that doing my own makeup gave me something to focus on before the wedding and it actually really relaxed me because it’s something I genuinely enjoy doing. Good luck bee!

jubiebee:  I will! My youngest daughter has done enough pageants and I do her makeup that we’re experts.

Did my own make up, no regrets, had my mom do my hair (she’s an amazing stylist), but the hair did not come out as envisioned, mostly due to the fact I didn’t show her the youtube video of what I was going for, so while she did a great job, make sure you do a trial run or two first!

I’m doing my own makeup, and I might have my sister do my hair. My “beauty” budget is $50, and I have simple visions for hair and makeup. I’d rather buy a nice hair piece than try to find someone to do hair and/or makeup for $50.

I never wear make up any more, I occasionally will throw some mascara on if I’m going out but sometimes I dont even do that. I used to wear make up every day so I decided I would be happier if I did my own so I could choose what I felt worked best for my skin/colouring, and then I could only put a little bit on as I find other people put it on too heavy for my tastes. It came out great, and my DH loved it because it made me look pretty and wasnt too much or unlike my usual self 🙂

I would love to be able to do my own but honestly think I’ll be too nervous on the day so I’m having someone else do it

I could see makeup not being to difficult if you practice.  however hair might be difficult… Unless you are going simple like wearing it down with curls or straight.
