@Stiz: Try LIVING in the city where it’s held. Hell. All. Week. Tourists everywhere. Traffic everywhere. Stupid tourists everywhere. Golf everywhere. It started on Monday, and ends this coming Sunday. Can’t get here fast enough. Did I mention the hoardes of all the tourists?

Lol, cheer up, it’ll be over soon.

@Stiz:  LOL!  I actually really enjoy watching or going to golf tournaments!  I used to think it was boring, until I took lessons.  I quickly realized that it’s a very challenging sport…and isn’t THAT boring!  Wink

The Masters is the only golf tournament I’ll watch.  It’s a beautiful course (in person and on tv)!

@Stiz: Totally understood. I am marrying into a family of golfers! Fi’s brothers and father golfs . I do like to drive the golf cart though.  Other than that I find golf boring.   If we ever have kids that child will be more than likely going golfing as a youngster

I feel compelled to give the devil its due. With all the bad and boring, comes the good, as well. All the tourists bring in ALOT of business to our area for the entire week, so that’s always good. And believe it or not, the grounds on the course are very breathtaking. TV doesn’t do them justice. Not even on HD, lol. I’ve been to The National twice as a patron, and once in high school when I worked in the beer tent. It’s definitely an experience that I enjoyed, and I really wouldn’t mind going back. It’s a highly revered sporting event, amongst golf enthusiasts. Like, I’m pretty meh about Yankees baseball, but I’d still love to go to Yankee Stadium, simply for all the history.

Okay, OP, I’ll stop threadjacking now, sorry. Sealed

@Wonderwoman217: LOL, I live near Pebble Beach, totally feel ya when one of those big gold events happens here- although I’m not a golf fan so I totally have no idea what it’s called, the Pro-AM? Also we have the Laguna Seca racetrack- tons of loud motorcycles everywhere! I LOVE the juxtaposition….
