Fiance is out of town for the weekend and I am sitting here with a bottle of wine, a baguette, and a pack of Swiss Knight cheese fondue thinking that I would never do this if he was home. I’m a fantastic cook, but I just can’t bring myself to cook for one person. I could never have lived on my own. Lol. Maybe I’ll have a can of chickpeas tomorrow night! Anyone else ever feel like this?

@Miss Lilac: haha yep. totally.

Uh, yes, and I lived on my own for like 15 years. You establish some fantastic eating habits that way. 😉

I try not to, since my hubby works out of state from March – September. But, last night for dinner, I had popcorn and a cream soda. LOL.
I usually try to use our time apart to eat random things, like just a cucumber for dinner, haha!

Oh for sure. Sometimes when he is gone I live on chicken nuggets and microwave popcorn.

Ahhh heck. I eat when hubby is out of the house. If he is at work or out with friends I end up with Lucky Charms or turkey and cheese rolled up.

@MrsSaltWaterTaffy: Ooh. Popcorn. Good idea!

Yep Yep…Me too!!! My Darling Husband is away for months for training (hes active duty AF) so I’ve been eating horrible since the wedding-at least before the wedding I was disiplined because I was trying to take off like ten pounds…now I’m just eating everything in sight. lol

Yes! My go-to dinner when he’s away is chicken flavored Ramen noodles and a grilled cheese sandwich.

Haha yes! I think it’s because I feel like it’s not worth cooking a big meal for just myself. My fiance has been out of town all week for work and I have eaten Mexican food for dinner EVERY NIGHT. I need to control myself because my dress is a sheath one and it is NOT forgiving-lol. 🙂

Absolutely. It’s terrible. To the point where I’m eating random garbage from the cupboard in order to fill up and I wind up feeling a little sick. If what we have in the kitchen pairs well, I have a good day. If not… 🙂 You’d think I’d eventually learn to not resort to eating like I’m 14. 🙂

@brideatbeach: Haha, we used to live across from an AMAZING indian restaurant and I would order 2 or 3 dishes to pick up the first night he was gone. It would last me like 4 days. Haha, our place reeked like curry for a good week.

Ugh yes!!! Except Darling Husband works out of town ALL the time. He’s only home 4 days a month. I find it really hard to cook for myself and end up eating crap. I’m trying REALLY hard to make proper meals. I go through stages where I’ll make meals for a week and then the next week I eat bad. Either eating out, chicken nuggets, frozen pizza, waffles for supper, etc… Blah!

OMG, it’s like a mini disgusting bachelorette extravaganza when the Fiance is away. I too, am sitting right now with a bottle of wine, and english muffins for dinner! I’m going to console myself with the thought that at least I went for a run with the dog first…but yeah..it’s going to be olives and an english muffin tonight…tomorrow, who knows? It’s actually kind of fun letting my inner pig come out. The funny part is that when I lived alone, I ate actual balanced meals..now I feel like I’m playing hooky when he’s gone.

FH and I don’t live together but he’s here 3 days a week. I eat like complete crap when he’s not here. For dinner I had 2 hotdog weinies and some coffee ice cream.
I have a hard time cooking for just myself but I will sometimes do it. I just get lazy some nights.
