Yeah, for sure…
Maybe if you look at it from a $ per guest perspective? It’s like giving each guest a $20-100 gift? Even your dress/decor etc. etc. is part of the experience.
Our wedding was planned in 5 months, we spent less than $10k, and we had ~180 guests. Looking back, I feel like we did the best we could?! Ha ha?! It was affordable and tons went wrong (like, mom got cancer and my caterer got hit by a car and almost died) but we just MADE IT HAPPEN.
On the other hand, honestly? I’ve been to a lot of weddings. They’re always fun and awesome. But the best wedding I’ve been to was the one that (very obviously) cost the most. It was just such an other-worldly experience for someone like me who is NOT wealthy. So… if you’re reading this thread and you’re LOADED with cash and you’re wondering if you should spend $50,000+ on your wedding… DO IT! Some poor sap like me will have the time of their LIFE! :}
