@coachwife:  we’re in the exact same spot that you are and I am BEYOND excited. I’ve wanted a baby for as long as I can remember! it’s a little freaky to think about it actually happening, but in a good way. It still seems so surreal!

However, I haven’t ovulated yet, so we’re just “practicing” 🙂

I think I would be SO nervous, even though I want to have kids someday in the not so distant future. I think that the first time we try for real I will be excited/nervous, too!

I am not charting either. My doctor told me to just go off my pills and start trying. She said that she thinks you are more fertile the first couple months coming off the pill.  We are just going for it and going to have fun with it for a couple months and see what happens. I did buy some ovulation kits, but am going to hold off on the charting for now.

Good luck you all too!

@coachwife:  It was pretty nerve-wracking the first month. It was a mix between “Oh god I hope we’re pregnant” and “Oh god what have we potentially done?” Ironically, many, many, many moons later when we did get pregnant, my initial thoughts were “Oh my god I’m finally pregnant” and “Oh god, what we have done?” (a feeling which passed by the time I left the bathroom).

Good luck!

@Mrs Sarah McK:  LOL I wonder if there is any woman on earth that does not think “oh god what did I do!?”. My mom said that she didnt think that when she first found out she was pregnant, but when she first heard me cry her first thought was “what have I done!” followed by excitement. I have a feeling if I ever see a BFP I’ll think that exact same thought.

I think we all go through this!  Even just deciding to go for it without the goalie was incredibly nerve-racking, and then getting the BFP was equally scary.  I’m super happy about it now, but those first few days I certainly had my fair share of freak out moments.  Darling Husband was just happy and calm as can be about it, while I would sit and worry about money and time and insurance and all those other things that are neeeded.

@Mrs Sarah McK:  Same here! We were ttc for a year and I was shocked and had a moment of, “Oh crap…what did we just do?!”

I think it’s natural to feel a little nervous, it’s a huge life changing even that you can never take back!
