Ughhh bees. Is this cold weather making everyone as miserable as I am? Seriously, it’s been negative degrees for what feels like weeks now, my job has slowed down so I’m not working as hard, dear Fiance is out of town for business until March (booo) and I am STILL nine months out from the wedding. I’m going CRAZYYYYY especially coming home to an empty house every night. Even furbaby is bored and lays down to watch movies with me at night.
Haha I’m not really looking for any advice, maybe something that will make me laugh if you post anything at all.
Till then I will drive myself nuts looking at Pinterest and going over the wedding budget, decor ideas, browsing bridesmaid dresses for the umpteenth time haha.

@HC_IC721: LOL my husband sweats…therefore he likes to keep the indoor temps low. I freeze my ass off! It’s 60 degrees in the Birdi household and I’m COLD!! My husband was kind enough to light fires for me the past two days. I came home from work tonight to no fire I asked him why he said we’re out of wood. DAMN IT ALL!
ETA: I’ve gained ten pounds since moving in with my husband…I think my body is responding to the cold temps up in here..Hibernation mode!
Don’t visit the Midwest then…one day it’s 60 degrees the next it’s a blizzard, LOL I’m over it already.

@HC_IC721: nope. So over it. I dont like to complain too much bc there are people that have it worse than me or are homeless.
I just want to take a nap and wake up in mid March

I hate hate hate winter. Especially this winter. I keep pestering DH to move to a warmer climate. I think (hope) I am wearing him down! I swear, another two months of this and I may cry. A lot.

I moved to Chicago from California, so I TOTALLY understand how you feel! I use this time to learn new recipes, organize, do things I normally won’t do because it’s summer/spring time and I’m outside. Also, definitely make sure to work out if possible (even walking on a treadmill) and take vitamin d. It helps!

Today was the first day i really felt like crapola from the weather. I couldn’t even describe it….just felt so off this morning.

On a serious note- I bought a light box this year off of Amazon because I always feel like crap in January and February due to the cold and dark. I feel better this year than I have ever felt. Placebo? Maybe… but I am not feeling as blah as I normally do.

The second wave of that “polar vortex” swept through here (Indiana) a couple days ago.. yuck. Monday and Tuesday it was like -10 or -15ish with a -35 degree wind chill. They cancelled almost every high school and even some colleges, and the Indianapolis city-county government was shut down Tuesday because of the cold! I get that it’s cold, but isn’t that normal winter weather for North Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, etc? 🙁 What do they do?! They’re probably laughing at us for being wussies lol. Sooo ready for spring!!

I live in AB, Canada. If you were born here or you had to move here then yeah you’d survive lol. I’ve WALKED TO WORK in -40… it sucks.
I’m depressed cuz of the weather too. We have snow here from October – April, and sometimes it even snows in May.
Here’s hoping to get out of here sometime soon…
