*cry* I’m so torn on shoes. Having an ivory dress means finding a very “specific” shade, as I’m sure all of you who don’t have WHITE dresses figured out. My dress was due in this week, and I know you have to have the shoes for your fitting, but I’m afraid to order anything without seeing the exact shade of the dress. I’ve found shoes I LOVE, but they are Badgley Michkas that cost over $200 and that’s just not in the budget.
I actually spent 2 hours last night looking up shoes, and narrowed it down to 5, but of course, I think I actually enjoy the shopping – it gives me something to do when the computer lab is slow 🙂

Oh! See, I went in to the department store with no idea in my mind what I wanted, so when I saw something pretty, I just took them!
I think if, like you, I knew what I wanted and was trying to match it, it would have been much harder! Good luck, they are out there!

You’re not the only one. I thought my dress part was sorta easy. But haven’t found my shoes yet. I have to be very careful because I got my dress in petite, so I have to be very careful about how high I get the heel and what not. I can’t just wear my dress around to these stores to try on shoes, so it’s hard. Good luck.

oh ladies… I’m so happy I’m not the only one!! I found some great ivory shoes to go with my dress without having to pay a ton of money (how often can you wear ivory shoes?)…. the heels are higher than I really wanted, but I’ll have to make do.

I have been thru about 40 pairs of shoes from shoebuy.com, endless.com and zappos.com. Hey, they offer free shipping and free return shipping…how can you beat that? I finally found the perfect pair. They aren’t very comfy but they are fabulous and i will put up with a little discomfort to look fabulous.

@meganrose: AHHH! I’m wearing the nina ones too! Mine are navy, but I was super close to getting the ivory ones.
I think finding shoes was pretty difficult for me because I wanted a specific look. What I am absolutely dreading is find jewelry to go with my dress and a nice little accessory to go in my hair.
You may want to try Nina shoes. On thei website they have it where you can design your own shoe… and technically the height of the heel.

oh, accessories are just as bad! I’ve bought two veils, two potential hair pieces, and two different earrings. I’m nothing if not consistent with my indecision. 🙂
I love the nina’s (and bought mine really cheap), just worried about the ankle strap with my tea length dress. If I don’t end up wearing them, I will look into having them dyed a different color so I can still use them.
