My husband and I love love love skiing (him) and snowboarding (me).
Our season passes for Mammoth Mountain (CA) arrived a couple of weeks ago. (Mine was his wedding present to me. YAY!)
And they are opening in a few weeks. I can’t wait!!! We might go the day after Thanksgiving.
Where are your favorite ski resorts?

Fiance is going mental waiting! For close by mountain action we like Powder King and Revelstoke. Back down south we visit Wistler and Blackcomb as much as we can 🙂 Haven’t really hit up too many mountains outside of BC, but then again we are spoiled with them!

@mrs.peters.to.be: We went to Whistler/Blackcomb for our honeymoon. IT WAS AWESOME!!! We are both dying to go back.

I am excited! I haven’t gone skied or boarded in several years, but we are probably heading up to Jasper for a few days between Christmas and New Years! I will probably be skiing (I like it more than snowboarding – and I am better at it!).

I wish I could get excited about it! Darling Husband and I love to ski but we don’t live anywhere near any skiing and I don’t have any vacation days that would allow us to take a weekend trip. 🙁 Looks like no skiing for us this year. Sadness.

Sadness, this year we will be skipping winter sports to save money. Fiance is devastated.

Woot! Heck yes! I’m pretty annoyed with the warm weather we’ve been having in NE lately. Bring on my Burton & Ski Blades!

We just booked our annual ski vacation to Utah. We usually go to Park City, Canyons, and Deer Valley (and this year we may try a few others that are close by). That’s not until late February though. I’ll be doing some local snowboarding in Maryland and Pennsylvania before then, but that definately does not compare to Utah 🙂

My husband is practically bouncing with anticipation. Me, not so much. He’s been skiing all his life (he’s one of those that can do flips and go down the triple black diamonds or whatever they are). I grew up in South Texas and Southeast Louisiana, and didn’t put on skis for the first time until I was 21. I couldn’t even stay standing. As much as I wish I wasn’t, skiing petrifies me. My husband is going to teach our kids to ski when they’re little, so they won’t end up 21 and petrified.

So happy. We just booked our first trip of the season.
Mammoth has been getting a ton of snow over the last week and a half and the entire mountain opened today!

Yes!! We’re currently planning a trip to VT for Feb and I think we’ll be going to Vail in January as well. Woo hoo–love ski season!

I am counting down the days until SO and I hit Taos. I reaaalllly suck at skiing, but he’s been at it since he was 3 (so I have a good teacher). I’m getting better at downhill each year, and I’ve got cross country in the bag. Can’t wait for the change of scenery and the fresh air!

OMG! So jealous of you Canada & Cali girls! I’m in Va and the closest place to us that is any good is Snowshoe or 7 Springs…both about 4h away! I got a new board last year and love it so…but I got a concussion last year so I’m on a self-imposed sabbatical till I get a helmet 😛

Super excited!! I might be going to Crystal Mountain (one of my favorites) this coming Saturday. We also love Sun Valley and will hopefully go in January. We may go on a Whistler trip this year with a large group of friends but it’s so expensive we’re just not sure yet…
We (and by we I mean my husband) actually named our dog Solitude after the ski resort in Utah, lol. My hubby grew up in Salt Lake and has fond memories of skiing there, our next dog may be named Alta 😛
