I am! Things are going pretty good. I have my 2nd fitting and my teeth whitening on Tuesday. Right now I’m still trying to get the music all picked out and the ceremony written, though hopefully that will all be done in the next couple of weeks. I’m sooo looking forward to this being over! I just want to enjoy life again instead of worrying about this wedding.

I’ve had a productive week. We finally got the tuxes picked out, got FI’s wedding band ordered and I ordered my BM’s gifts today. What’s left on my list? Buy vases for the centerpieces, go over vows, what we’d like the officiant to say, and music ugh. I have a song picked for the bridal party to walk down to and one for me but so far that’s it. Oh and figure out the guest book situation, we are doing one of the big photo mats you sign with the engraving pen but I haven’t purchased it yet. I’m also still on the fence about whether we want cute fans for our outdoor ceremony. Geez listing it out made me feel pretty behind.

Yay for July 9th brides!   I can’t believe it’s only six weeks away!   Fiance and I have been engaged since Dec 2009 so I didn’t think this day would ever get here!

I’m fairly well sorted on the big things – still sorting out music for the DJ and entrance songs for the bridal party; have yet to order Bridesmaid or Best Man gifts; programs haven’t been started; and seating arrangements can’t get started until the RSVPs are all back in by the end of next week.   There are some other minor things to do – photo list for the photog, place cards, and finishing the table numbers, but for the most part, I think I’m in an ok place.

On a sad note, I am leaving Australia tomorrow to head back to the States to finish all the wedding prep.  Fiance won’t be joining me until July 6th, so we have a 5.5 week separation ahead of us.  🙁  It’s our shortest separation to date (our longest was 6 months!) but I’m still a bit bummed about it.

@MissKatelyn:  I hear you on just wanting this all to be over so you can have your life back!  ME TOO!!!  Fiance and I just want to get on with our married life and enjoy being husband and wife without having to deal with wedding stuff and immigration stuff (I have to apply for a new visa once we get married as my fiance visa will no longer be applicable).    As excited as I am for the wedding, I think I’m even more excited for the month of August to just get here already as everything will be said and done.

I’m so glad I found this page!!! I too am a July 9th bride the days are going so fast and it just seems like 24 hours in one day is just not enough time to get everything done. The good thing is that I am a teacher and school lets out for summer on June 10th, so that will give me 6.5 more hours that I didn’t have before. I met with the florist yesterday and I feel really good about the flowers and excetionally good about the cost. Budget, budget, budget! I wanted all hot pink roses for my centerpieces but that was out of my budget =(… so she suggested mixing… so I went with a mixture of Hot Pink Gerber Daisies and Hot Pink Roses, that move cut my price down 😉 I also ordered my guest book that I created throug Mixbook.com, I’m excited to see how that turns out. They just had a 30% off sale. I just need to purchase metallic silver sharpies for the guest to sign. Next on my list, is finishing up the ceremony program and songs for the reception. I want to make program fans. So has anyone applied for their marriage licenses yet? If not, when do you plan on doing this?

Sounds like everyone is on track! I’ve hit a calm spell. I’m just working on getting my thank you notes out from my 1st shower before my 2nd shower next week, and I have to finish up the Out of Town bags and bathroom and flip flop baskets, and like most of you, we still have some final music decisions to make. Nothing too stressfull.
Fiance has his bachelor party this weekend. It’s starting to feel real now!

@lkt70893: We got our marriage license 2 weeks ago. It varies by state, but in MA they’re good for 2 months, so we got it out of the way last time we were in town.

My dress is being altered right now, my shoes are being dyed, my garter is ordered from Etsy, and I have my jewelry and “underpinnings.”  My bridesmaids’ dresses are also in, we’ve got the flower girl’s dress, and the guys have all been fitted for their tuxes.  We’ve ordered our attendants’ gifts but still need to pick up little somethings for our ushers, readers, parents, and other special helpers.  I also still need to make reservations for the rehearsal dinner!

We finally got the ceremony written but still haven’t chosen music for the ceremony or compiled a complete list of songs to be played at the reception.  I also still need to ask one of my cousins to be an usher and ask both friends who we want to do readings (I was waiting to get their RSVP cards back but I think I’m going to go ahead and send the cards I made them).

Last week I ordered my flowers… we’re DIYing them and I ended up ordering from three different websites to be able to get everything I wanted 🙂  Blooms by the Box (with a gift certificate!), Fifty Flowers (paid way too much but I really wanted purple hydrangea!), and BunchesDirect (just ordered fillers from them because I’d read some bad reviews but they had the best rates… I’m figuring it would be really hard to mess up baby’s breath and baker’s fern!)

This week we are meeting with a cake baker because I decided after months of being on the dessert table train that I wanted a traditional layer cake… hopefully she will be able to create something for us on a budget!  FI and I are going to have a “state of the wedding budget” meeting one day to figure out if we can afford an open bar and/or a videographer.  We also still need to have our guest book mat cut to fit the frame we chose.  And get our marriage license.

My Maid/Matron of Honor is kind of stressing me out right now… more accurately, she is stressed out about the bridal shower and bachelorette party and since she’s my best friend in the world the stress is rubbing off on me.  She’s really anxious about messing something up or not doing it right since she’s never been a bridesmaid before.  I’m very low-maintenance and I think she wants more direction from me, but then when I tell her how I would like things she says she wants to surprise me… and I’m like MAKE UP YOUR MIND WOMAN!
