Congratulations, fellow May 31st Bees (and Reception Bee, Soon2BeMrs7913!)! We are down to 95 days until we marry the man of our dreams. I get a happy flutter in my stomach every time I think of being with my dear Fiance for the rest of my life, which I did not expect (as this is my 2nd and LAST try).
We did end up doing an online Enrichment quiz and will meet with marriage mentors in a couple of weeks to discuss strengths and growth opportunities. Are any of you doing any premarital counseling?
Loveheart2013- A wedding in the mountains of Spain sounds amazing! I’d love to hear more about your plans!
Lordmau- Have you made more progress with your plans?
Soon2BeMrs7913- You will be going ahead of us, so I’m excited to hear about your plans, as well.
I will be printing out and addressing our DIY invites with my sweet Maid/Matron of Honor next weekend, and talking about my bachelorette party. She wants to talk about a bridal shower, too, but I don’t think I need both. FI and I will be living in his farmhouse with his folks, so we certainly don’t need any household items. As it is, I need to sort and get rid of some of the pots and pans-type stuff I have in storage.
FI’s 4 and 2-year old nieces asked him if they could be our flower girls, and then asked what flower girls are. 🙂 So I guess we’re having flower girls! He is still very nervous about “all those people” and his father didn’t help when he said, “Your folks and his folks, why do you need more people?” They are both wonderful down-to-earth men who really don’t get what all the fuss is about.
At least Fiance is pretty good-natured when I tell him my thoughts on vases for the tables, etc. I think we have everything in place, otherwise. Just waiting to get closer to the date to shop for food and start putting things together.
I asked him this weekend how I was supposed to get the last minute things done at the farm, after he told me he was taking the entire day of the wedding off from work (thought he was gonna work a half day) and he said we would do it together! Yay for no superstitions and just digging in side by side and getting it done. I love that man!
