Me!  I’m not a veil type bride and honestly when they put one on me when I was dress shopping it confirmed it for me.  While I think they are pretty, I couldn’t justify spending another 300 or so dollars on something that would really just end up bugging me all night!

I’m doing kind of the same as you with a loose side knot and flower or fascinator that my MoH is going to help me make.

Definetly not doing a veil, I’ve never pictured myself wearing one plus my ceremony might be on the beach (or atleast by the beach) and i don’t really see that going together.

I will probably do fun hair pins or a cool headband ๐Ÿ™‚

Right there w/ ya ladies…I haven’t really decided yet, but I’m leaning more towards a no veil decision. I’m having my hair pulled back into a loose bun thing w/ “whimsical” strands in my face (similiar to the blonde in the link). I’m also planning a flower in my hair so I figure the flower would be sufficient enough.

The history of the veil is really irrelevant to me at this point; I don’t think most people in the general public have any clue about its origins and certainly don’t think they are worn in this day for matters of propriety or religious significance at all.  I just think they’re really pretty and adds to the dramatic effect of my attire at my formal wedding, so I’m wearing one. No blusher, though.

I don’t have a clue what I am wearing yet, but one thing I decided years ago before weddings were even discussed is that I will not be wearing a veil.

I am wearing a veil. My wedding is very traditional.

I will wear a veil for the ceremony and the pics right after.  Then I will take it off for the reception.

I’m 99% sure I won’t be wearing a veil – the only reason I might is if I find out it’s super important to my guy.

There are a lot of brides who look absolutely stunning in a veil. And then there’s me – I look absolutely ridiculous. I was pretty sure I wasn’t going to wear a veil before trying one on, and definitely sure now that I’ve seen what I look like with one on.

I didn’t think I Was wearing a veil- but then I tried one on and I didn’t want to take it off. But there’s absolutely nothing wrong with ladies who want to go veil-less- I think they rock that look too :o)

I’m not wearing one.  They put one on me in the store and I just felt silly, like I was playing dress up.  They just aren’t me.  Plus, I’m spending so much on my dress and to get my hair done, I don’t want anything covering it up!

    I am!

But can I just throw something out there? The poll was a little confusing… your title was “is anyone going veilless” and then the question was “are you wearing a veil?” so I almost clicked the wrong thing! Oops, guess I should read more carefuly..

I go back and forth about wearing a veil. I keep going back thinking that this is the only time in my life I can wear a veil. I’ve bought 3 so far – inexpensive veils – but I have 3!!!
