@clairykoo: Hahahaha, yes.  My husband IS a video game producer (used to work for EA but now for Zynga), and he is a video game NUT.  We’ve been together for 9 years, married for a little more than 2 months and what i’ve come to learn is that between the months of October and December I should come up with lots of activities for me to do! ๐Ÿ˜›

Today is my birthday & I can guarrenty Mr Rugbee’s going to sneek in a bit of CoD when I’m not looking! To be honest though, I don’t really mind. It gives me time to chat with you ladies, without him making fun of me.

I jokingly refer to myself as a COD Widow during the first week after we get it. He didn’t stay up late or rush out to buy it (I picked it up for him two days ago). He got home late from work the day I bought it, and said “Not going to start now because I’ll never come to bed and be up all night playing” which I thought was pretty awesome, but I’m certain this weekend it’ll be hours and hours of MW3 until he beats the campaign and starts playing live.

I have ZERO interest in playing…. but he enjoys it so I deal.

Joined him- I use to get upset until I started playing… now I understand the obsession. Now he can’t get ME off!

One of the very few perks of being 42 and my Fiance being 38. It seems like only the younger generation are into video games.

It would drive me crazy to come home and see my Darling Husband playing a video game that he’s been playing since I left for work but then again I’m just an old cranky old mom who wakes up every morning to see my 21 year old son asleep with his lap top open one foot from his face. ๐Ÿ™ LOL

SO was working at the London launch party.  He managed to blag a free copy of the game.  He tried to include me – brought back a skimpy MW3 staff vest top.  It’s his birthday next week, so I might wear it then – but probably nowhere else! Lol.  He’s quite good generally though.  He’s level 10, and a friend who was on the Launch also is at 77.  Just shows you how little my SO plays really.

I don’t mind watching a bit, and it means I get on with studying (because I do get bored).

My brother came over last week (just before the Launch) and they played Black Ops all night…

He hasn’t played MW3 too often yet, but he played Black Ops like it was his job, especially after he made friends and had a good team going.

He’s only played MW3 once since he got it, so we’ll see.

One of my friends dated a guy that would rather play World of Warcraft than be intimate with her. She got tired of sitting there watching him play and literally begging him to pay attention to her.

I think that’s way too far – when you’re a straight guy, and you have a choice between blowing up some pixels on a screen and boobs, and the boobs aren’t even in the back of your mind, something’s wrong, lol. They’re not together anymore, as expected.

I don’t mind game playing that isn’t that extreme, though. I like computer and video games too and I can understand how it’s easy to get sucked into them for hours, especially new games. As long as he doesn’t choose the game over life. I’v gotten slightly annoyed a couple of times when Fiance paid more attention to game apps on his phone when I wanted the attention on me but it’s never been excessive.

haha we bought all of our groomsmen COD and Elder Scrolls Sky Rim as thank-you gifts…. everyone has been very busy these last few weeks with games! We got a Wii as a wedding gift which now has bought even more games into the house.

Personally I don’t play, but they are harmless fun in our house ๐Ÿ˜‰
