I wouldn’t worry about it,it’s the newness of the engagement period and then it will wear off and people will go on with their lives. I know a lot of 30+years married couples and hardly any of them wear rings anymore, and they are very much still married lol

You’re like Anne from Parks and Recreation! She and Chris get engaged with a locket, and it’s really sweet. I love my ring, but I also think it’s not a necesary thing. An engagement is intensely personal and should be first and formost a conversation about the future. I think some people get really hung up on the ring, instead of the future.

I didn’t have my ring when going to the bridal shop or the wedding venue. It took a couple of weeks to get sized. I didn’t notice anyone giving me any looks even though I didn’t have a ring. Is your friend really young looking? I’d just go in with confidence and don’t worry about what others think.
