Hating mine right now more than ever..  at the store – I thought I looked unbelievable, and when I saw the pics of me in the dress – I couldnt believe my eyes…. I’ve lost 50 lbs as of today, and I’ve got extra wings and apparently some cellulite type stuff goin on … FAIL. I’m using my resistance bands every day now, and hoping tanning in the meantime will help.

I haven’t gone dress shopping yet, but I’m keeping this etsy seller in my favorites list for a solution if I need one!

I’m guessing I might like a jacket on a late september night anyway

Same problem here.. I hate my upper arms/ bingo wings and have been crying because I can find no dresses I like with sleeves. My wedding will be a day time wedding so too much sparkle is not adequate and I hate too much lace.. Any ideas on dresses anyone?

I took a look at the famosa model from pronovias but I am unsure about the sparkly parts for a daytime wedding.

🙁 I hate boleros… they don’t stay in place easily. I just found this dress and I think it has a good chance but it is not this season so I’m not sure where I’ll find it!… but I will or something similar at least

@Nikicol:  On what site did you find this dress? I’m looking for a smilar style I don’t like boleros either; I think off the shoulder dresses elongate the neckline and are so much more sexy!

@tammys1977:  I also hate my  arms. For this reason, I want an off-the-shoulder- dress. I find them extremely gorgeous and sexy.I’m not a fan of boleros, but you may find one that you absolutely love. You could also try a shawl or wrap for august in a sheer fabric. It could even be in color to match your theme colors. 🙂 Post pics on what you decide!!!

My arms are Awful- they are a family curse!!!!  I hate them- and all of the ladies on here— I’d pay to have your arms- seriously- mine make me look so much heavier than I am.  My mom and grandmother have/had the same problems.  Ugh.  I never wear tank tops and it’s gotta be a HOT one for me to wear short sleeves.  I live in 3/4 sleeves.

That being said…..  No amount of exercise or dieting is going to help these dang things- I’m sure even if I were a thinner girl- I’d need some surgery to remove the “batwings”.

BUT- I’m wearing my strapless dress and I’m gonna rock it!!

My dress had small sleeves- I felt like it drew attention more to the biggest part of my arms- so I just decided to have them removed.  I considered a bolero- however in June- I really just think I might melt as it is- so I couldn’t imagine another layer.

I just hope that my photographer is kind and helps me pose so they don’t look so bad!  She’s posted some other plus size brides lately- and did Wonderful things for them- so I have confidence she will capture good stuff!

I bought a strapless gown but I have a tulle bolero for the ceremony – but I’m going to take it off for the reception.

I’m not a fan of my arms… I have a strapless dress but have ordered a lace bolero from Etsy – can’t wait for it to arrive to try on altogether.

I know if I just went with the strapless I’d be so embarassed of my arms and probably hate all the photos….

I’m in the same situation and I’m not sure how I feel about a bolero. I love any excuse for more lace, but how much is too much you know? –Dilema of the century!

I hate my arms too – I lost over 100 pounds 6 years ago and it’s left me with flap in the wind, saggy upper arms. I sucked it up and bought a sweetheart strapless gown. I loved my dress and it showed off my figure wonderfully, but I do wish that I would have gotten something to cover my arms. Looking back at the pictures, I see my flab and it makes me uncomfortable.

As long as you are comfortable on your wedding day, that’s all that matters. If it is going to bother/distract you, definitely cover those ladies up! Don’t let it take away from your day 🙂

I don’t like my arms either. I went with a strapless dress anyways. No one’s really going to be focusing on your arms, that’s what I figure!
