@pink_sherbert:  Me too, me too.  I dunno what came over me to think working in a restuarant in an area fed by tourism during tourist season would be a good idea -_- and I get to close tonight.

Yep. I hate my job, but I’ve been there for awhile, so I’m getting paid way more than if I were to quit and go elsewhere, plus the benefits are really good. 5 more years though and I should be done my second degree and can hopefully get a much better job!

I hate my job with a passion. It really, really sucks. But they pay me so well I cannot leave.

If it was not for the serious $$ I would be long gone.

I don’t hate my job, but I knew deep down after a month or two that it wasn’t the dream job I thought it would be, and I know I could be doing something better. However, I have a 10 minute walk to work in the morning and I get paid too much to do too little so I’m not about to give it up x

Ha, I’m in the same boat as a lot of people.

They pay me so well for what my job actually is – that if I left I’d never get this amount.

I got a £10k pay rise in less than 2 years… for a job that you don’t need much skill for, it’s a hell of a lot.

Shame it’s not my passion, though.

Still – once I’ve gone on some epic holidays and poppepd out a kid, I’ll leave.

Me!

I’ve been in my job for 4.5yrs – I like the role in general, but it’s a job that is very easily derailed if coworkers can’t be bothered to do their end properly. Most of my burnout is because of the stupid, lazy women in my dept.

The other half of my burnout, the trapped part – I work in the public service. New govt & everything is being reshuffled, there’s a freeze on jobs so if I want to change roles, I’d have to leave the public service. I’m not stupid – I know I’m on a good thing. But not particularly happy – hence the trapped. I just try & suck it up cos I know there are a lot of people worse off than me.

Yep.  “Work to live, not live to work” as a lady I know said to me.  And at this time I feel pretty lucky to have a job that pays fairly well.

@pink_sherbert:   I feel your pain. Mine feels like the film Groundhog Day!

I loathe mine but like pp’s I get paid reasonably well and in this economy I wouldn’t find anything else to equal it.It also fits in with my child and is only a ten minute drive away.

I would love to train to do something else but I have too many financial responsibilities to carry on my own such as a mortgage to pay.Frown

Yup I hate my job… well not really my job but my boss. She is psycho. And has made my life hell for the past 3 years. But I have been looking for a new job here and there and not been able to find anything. ๐Ÿ™

Same here. If it weren’t for the health care and having to make rent every month, I would drop this job in a second and wait for something better to come along.

Don’t hate my job in general…

…but I sort of hate it today
