I don’t mind writing thank you notes. What I do hate is gifts arriving after I’ve already written and sent the rest of my Thank You notes because then it feels like it’s more effort for me. I’d rather just get them all done at once!

I just wrote my ty notes this past weekend and boy did I underestimate how much time it would take me. My writing got very sloppy towards the end. Not sure how I am going to get through the ones from the wedding!

I don’t like doing them, but I really like having presents!  Someone told me once to make a rule that you can’t use a gift until you’ve written a thank you…it really helps motivate me to get them done.

Darling Husband wrote half of them and it was fun for us because we did it together. It was like an assembly line because both of our signatures were on every note. But I agree it’s a pain in the you-know-what when gifts arrive late and you’ve already spent a weekend buried in paper.

The thank you note writing is making me VERY happy I had a small wedding. So far we’ve only gotten one completely odd, random gift.  Thank you notes for odd gifts are hardest…..”Thanks so much for the wine stopper with the deer’s head on it, and the matching salad tossers with deer heads!  We can’t wait to use them when he have hunters over for dinner”

This is my biggest dread about having a very large wedding, thinking about all of the thank you notes that we will hae to do!  I made a promise to myself to get the bridal shower/bachelorette party thank you’s mailed out within 2 weeks of the date, so I don’t have to worry about double after the wedding.  I did get my thank you notes for my frist shower out the next day…hopefully I can stay that motivated ๐Ÿ™‚

I am currently writing my thank you notes for the gifts I received at my bridal shower this past weekend!  It is definitely  more time consuming than I originally thought….but I am so greatful for all of the lovely gifts – this little bit of time commitment is nothing compared to the lovely, newly, gorgeously stocked kitchen we now have!!!

I don’t mind the idea of them because I am SO thankful for all the gifts we received!  But… I don’t like how much time it consumes and the hand cramps.  It’s not bad, but Darling Husband can’t even really help because he has THE worst handwriting ever… I can’t even read it sometimes.  So, he is signing. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I just did my shower TYs…I was just surprised at how long it took me!  I didn’t mind doing it, though I think my writing was definitely getting bigger towards the end. ๐Ÿ™‚

For the wedding, Fiance is definitely helping me, and he’s on board with it.  Granted, his handwriting sucks, so I have to figure out how to get around that, but no way I’m doing them myself!

I would like it much better if I had better handwriting. Mine is ok but not as pretty as I would like, and the longer I write the worse it gets.
