Ohhhhhhhhhhhhv*HUGS* It’s bitter, unfortunately. I think you should tell your sister about it. Hopefully she might pass the message onto your fiance’ and he could replan the night. I wish I knew your family so I could help plan something special.

Even when things went alright for me, I wish thngs turned out differently as well. Look at it this way, I guess your fiance’ couldn’t hold out any longer and really wanted to express his feelings to you. Which is still very sweet. It was still a suprise. πŸ™‚

Is your sister engaged/married? By the way, your ring looks gorgeous!!! πŸ™‚ Be excited that you will be looking for a dress soon! If you haven’t found one already?!

I fell asleep the night I was proposed to too!  Then I found out that I messed up my “first” proposal and would have been engaged 5-6 weeks sooner!  Last November (2010) I threw a bday party for him, and we had planned on a quick dinner before the bar party.  I called him and told him a couple was going to join us for sushi…. so he left the ring at home, and the friends cancelled at the last minute!  Oops!!!

Fast forward through the holidays (I didnt want a holiday proposal and consider the holidays over when the ball drops on NYE).  It was raining on NYE and we were having a good night just the two of us at home (had a long week, didn’t want to go out afterall), and I was hanging out in underwear and a long tshirt watching movies (its our apartment, whatever), and was teasing him all about “pantsless new years”.  I fell asleep as was exhausted and had had a few drinks and woke up to him bounching on my exercise ball (he had kept drinking from nerves πŸ™‚   ), telling me to wake up for the countdown.  We stood up to count down …. the ball dropped, he went down on one knee and proposed… and I said “yes… Where are my pants, I need my pants!”   I  didn’t want to touch the ring pantsless!

Needless to say, though people know I would have been engaged nov 2010 (he thinks its funny πŸ™‚  ), very few people know about the pantsless engagement!

@H2MrsDj:   I love how you asked where your pants were!!!  Too cute! What a fun story to (maybe someday) share with your kids and grandkids πŸ™‚
