I’m not incredibly photogenic, and that teamed with a man who hates having his photo taken, and will do two thousand silly face photos before he actually smiles!!  I’m just hoping that our photographer will take more ‘action’ shots and less posed ones 😀

@shooting_star5711:  Yes, definitely find a photog that does photo journalist shots. My e-session didn’t turn out as well as I liked.  The photographer was more traditional/posed style.  We can’t hold a pose long enough.  How sad!  lol Fortunately, it was a free session!

My Fiance typically doesn’t look his best in photos.. so I was a little nervous about taking our epix.. but was pleasantly surprised! There were only a few where I was thinking “What the….” with his expression/smile.. sometimes I think they turn out not-so-good when they’re forcing a smile.. so maybe try to get shot whens he’s a little more relaxed and just smiling for real.. not being forced to smile.

the best “hurry up & take the damn picture” smile he can muster up…

Haha, yes Darling Husband has this problem.  He says he doesnt know how to smile on command so he usually looks fairly awkward.  I try not to get on him too much about it.

Fortunately, just about all the pics we took after the ceremony (at the church) and the first few at the reception hall he looks great.  I think it’s because he was more relaxed and genuinely happy and having a good time (well I hope so, he just got married!!).  But then he started getting tired…. You can tell toward the end of our photo session especially where it’s just me an him before the reception that he’s getting grumpy and not relaxing (or hardly trying any more).  But that’s ok, i’m very photogenic so I make up for it.  Cool

Oh, and I should mention that 9/10 pics that are taken casually, like at a party, etc, he makes this big goofy face because he feels so self conscious about the smiling thing.

Hahaha, yes.  That’s why booking an engagement session was necessary for us.  The first thing we told photographers we met with was that fiance has a fear of cameras. Cool

While I think my husband is adorable and has a great smile, he can’t seem to show it for a camera.  We do have some good shots of him actually smiling at our wedding, and those are great.  A lot of the posed ones have his funny “I’m smiling!” squinty smile.  But that’s just him – I love them.  The good ones are even more precious to me because I know he’s genuinely happy and beaming.  Like the one of us walking into the reception, or our first look – he was smiling so big he couldn’t take a bad picture.

Oh yes. He has been practicing though, bless him. We’re not having engagement photos done so fingers crossed he pulls off a few good ones!

bahahahhaa I love this!

Before our wedding I told Darling Husband we needed to practice smiling because all photos look forced with him. We didn’t practice but all of our photos were lovely. In all of them he looks genuinely happy. Thank goodness!
