No, just a Future Mother-In-Law who is a textbook narcissist, bipolar, and 7 other kinds of crazy, with no sense of actions/consequences, or what constitutes civil or appropriate behaviour.

@definitelymaybe:  I have not spoken to them in over 2 years; my fiancée only communicates with her parents by email.

This article was not by me, but it describes my mother perfectly.  I stopped dealing with her in 1994.  When my ex-husband left me in 1995, people asked me whether I didn’t miss having a mother around at such a time.  I told them I was particularly relieved about my decision at the time of the divorce, as I knew she would have made things worse had she still been in my life.

@Overjoyed:  I have no idea why.  It’s a question I will ask for the rest of my life.  Clearly, she didn’t think of that when she decided to take her life.

@definitelymaybe:  Your mum sounds like mine. I didn’t want anything to do with her at the age of 10. Yes, I was truly that young when I figured out I was nothing more than a child support paycheck for, she didn’t care about me at all. When I was 13 she called our house (dad had full custody of me, mum claimed she coudn’t “afford” child support, yet could afford to pay for a wedding, which we didn’t know about and buy a house…) Anyway… She called our house when I was 13 to tell me I had a younger half sister as she had just given birth to a baby girl. She “finally had the daughter she always wanted”. Direct qoute from her. Because of my younger half sister I tried throughout the years to try to forgive her for the things she had done (PM if you wish for details) but she always managed to bring the past up and play the victim. I just couldn’t stand to be near her anymore. She literally makes my skin crawl when I think about her. The year before last my middle brother got married and decided to invite her, I avoided her pretty much all night and afterwards told her to not call or text me again because as far as I was concerned she wasn’t part of my family and I didn’t want her in my life and didn’t wish to be in hers. This was after I found out some things she had been saying to people at the wedding and after many facebook posts villifying my dad or myself… She’s a waste of oxygen to be honest.
