I don’t think a tiltled uterus would have anything to do with leakage. Once my Darling Husband is finished I put a pillow under by butt and lay there with my legs up against the wall for at least 15 mins. I still have some come out when I stand up but not nearly as much as before.

We have a ton of leakage, too.  From talking to people around here, I’ve learned that’s okay and you can definitely get KU even with that.  Apparently, tons of swimmers still get up there even though some leak out.  There was a study that ChuckNorris talked about where the ovaries were analyzed after sex using no extra means to try to get stuff up there, and there was still a crazy amount up there.  She can probably tell you more about it.

@RoyalLime:  Yep, I put a pillow under my hips and then bend my knees with my feet flat on the bed for about 15 minutes.  I have a lot less come out when I do this, too.

We had that problem also and got pregnant on our first cycle.  My OB never mentioned a tilted uterus.  I think you’ll be alright.

I don’t think it would be a problem with TTC, but for your own comfort, keep paper towels by the bed and wear a panty liner for a few hours afterwards. Also, this is weird, but see if you can roll more onto your side before he pulls out, that could help with the mess.

Its natural for leakage to happen.  Its just gravity.  Roll over on your back and stick a pillow under your bum ASAP.  The pillow is really just there to help those slow swimmers get where they need to go.  GL!

Ditto what everyone said. Leakage happens so just try to keep your legs together until you can roll over and put a pillow underneath. What I did read somewhere before is to NOT pull out right away – have Darling Husband just stay, um, “in” you for about a minute or two to keep it plugged in for a bit, so to speak. Hopefully that’ll encourage more upward movement. Besides, I also read/heard that whatever leaks out isn’t what you want up there anyway!

@chelles07:  I have a lot of leakage, even with a pillow under me.  Thats why I got the soft cups.  Give it a try.

@mizjl:  Hmm, the last 2 times we DTD, I noticed that Darling Husband stayed put for an extra minute or so longer than usual.  I was wondering if he read about that somewhere on the internet.

@chelles07:  You are not alone! Pretty sure this is normal, but it does suck!  I always laugh at Darling Husband and say “Geez, you gave me the gift that keeps on giving.. ” or “Your goo-goo is still in my ga-ga” and he just laughs.

My friend’s friend is trying to get pregnant and her doctor told her to lay on her side after BD’ing. Rather than have her legs up in the air, I tried it last month and it didn’t leak out while I was laying there.  But when I got up, WOOSH. Definitely a good idea to have a towel or some tissue there!

Yup, leakage is normal. I just keep a towel next to the bed and put it under me afterwards or run to the bathroom like baletrina Laughing

Putting a pillow under your butt and hanging out for 15 minutes or so doesn’t really help with the TTC.  My fertility doc told me that.  But, so many women believe it does, that they say go for it so at least you feel like you’re doing something to help the boys along.  If nothing else, it could help the leakage issue.  Just be careful of the dreaded UTI.

I always keep a towel on my side of the bed…I’ll leak for an hour or so afterwards and I don’t even get at of bed

Have you seen a man ejaculate in the open? 😉  It would seem that all the good stuff is getting UP there, and the stuff that leaks is the messy leftovers.  I go to the bathroom, clean up the the stuff that’s already leaked out, and go back to bed.  It seems like if you lie around the stuff that didn’t make it all the way to its destination is still going to leak out.
