My wedding is January 8, 2011 and we are having a winter wonderland themed wedding! If there are any of you out there that have had or are having one and that would be willing to share their pictures and/or inspirations, it’d be greatly appreciated 🙂
I’m more of a visual person and am having a hard time trying to visualize reception decorations. I need to see pictures and haven’t really been able to find anything that I just love yet. Thanks for your help bees!

Hi Bride Buddy,
My wedding is on January 22, 2011 and I am in the same boat. I am such a visual person and I’ve been having a hard time realizing my me and my fiance’s reception. We are having a winter wonderland theme but the only inspiration I have came up with are these centerpiece with feathers and another centerpiece with baby’s breath.
Hope it Helps!

I hope to do this! (also I think we are engagement date twins!)
We really want to be married in January 2011 but we’re having some issues with FI’s family about it because they are worried about the snow (we’re in Ohio– they are in Michigan). I don’t really have any photos but my idea is to make everything look sparkly and frosted. Lots of silver, lots of white glitter, and LOTS of candles. I hope we get to do it!!

@crebre, what’s that first picture??? Are there flowers on all the chair/stools? And is the drapey fabric just part of the chair cover or something else?
It looks cool, but I don’t quite understand it.

first picture is a lounge ottoman with faux fur wraps and it looks like the menu cards and napkins were placed there along with a white tulip.

I didn’t have the snowflake theme, but I did have a winter wedding so I wrote a post on a few different winter wedding themes. Here is the snowflake winter wonderland theme post:

oooooh. I love the all white! I think it would be a fun idea to do wintery specialty cocktails like spiked cider, hot toddys, etc!

I’ve thought about it with like snowflake crystals, fur coats, lots of candles but decided i rather have an outdoor wedding which isnt exactly winter-friendly here in maryland. i think they can be beautiful though! heres a pic of a winter-wonderland themed wedding though! edit: my picture wont upload, try googling it though

I had a winter wedding as well and I think there are so many ways you can save money doing a winter themed wedding. Esp if you opt for no flowers! With a winter theme you can get away with having a non flower centerpiece, no problem.
Also, even if it’s cold, i think outdoor pics are so beautiful in the winter time! We did a few shots outside (quite a few) and I love looking back at them!

Mine was more of a winter forest themed wedding…we had curly sticks as centerpieces with crystal flowers on them…so cheap to do and they looked so nice. For the ceremony we did big bunches of white sticks (spray painted) bunched to look like trees…
I don’t have my pro pics here with me but here are a few candids.
Also I love birch tree centerpieces or birch incorporated in the decor. I did my brother’s invites for him with birch trees on them and they looked cute (his wedding is this weekend!). Birch is very wintery and really chic right now..

i just thought about swtiching my date to december 2011 and am considering a winter wonderland theme…i love the idea! i have seen some gorgeous ideas with blue/silver/white or even some with deep reds and some evergreen accents. just beautiful!
i also found adorable custommized hot chocolate packets that can have your monogram/ particular saying on it that goes with the wintry theme.
i really would like to get some fake snow as well! not sure it will happen but its offered at the place i am looking into and i saw that a bride had it snow during her first dance and i think it may sound like a silly idea but i think it would be GORGEOUS to do!!!
good luck with the planning 🙂
