@sunflowergyrl: He got me a ring, he didn’t want to wait to propose but his mother offered him the diamonds form her mother rings. He told me he was getting them reset and designing something for me. I personal feel very touched his mother wants me to have something of her mothers… I have no idea how it will look but i know i will love it b/c not only is it from him being made by him its also a gift form his mother and family showing they want me to be family as well and that is very good feeling

My ring belonged to my great-grandmother. She married my great-grandfather in 1907, about 10 years after they emigrated to the US from Russia. This ring is either from the 1900s or it might be an upgrade ring from the 1930s or ’40s. It’s a 1.75 carat center stone with a platinum band and 4 small diamonds on the band.

My mom’s ring that hasn’t technically been given to me yet, but I think my boyfriend will use it to propose any day now 😀

my great grandma’s ring! I’m wearing it with the wedding band. It’s an opal surrounded by white saphires, and the pic sucks but imagine it more sparkly!

It is so hard to get a good picture of an opal. Your ring is really stunning. Opals used to be so common for wedding rings. My great Grandmother also had one. I am glad to see you are rocking it!

Just got engaged a few weeks ago! This ring was custom made by my grandfather and given to my grandmother in Cuba circa 1940’s. The center stone was my great grandfathers and the side stones were my great great aunts. Such a special piece of jewlery that will be passed down to my grandchildren!

My engagement ring was my fiance’s great grandmother’s ring from 1923. I’ve always wanted an antique ring and love how mwaningful this one is!

I love seeing these beautiful heirlooms. My grandmother recently passed and I was gifted her rings. My FH got me a beauitful delicate ring, but now I’m wanting to wear my grandmothers rings. I’m nervous about saying anything.. anyone have thoughts about this? Me and my grandmother were really close.
