Bees, I am so fustrated right now! My boyfriend and I were originally going to purchase my engagement ring from Kay Jewelers, but after doing research I learned of how displeased many people were with their rings from there. So my boyfriend and I decided to go to jamesallen.com and purchase a diamond from them since I read many positive reviews of them online. Our plan was to buy a loose diamond from their website and take the diamond to a local jeweler to get the setting put on. According to the jamesallen.com website, all loose diamonds will ship overnight if the order is placed before 4 PM. We made the purchase on Tuesday, November 25th before 4 PM so the diamond should have came on the 26th. Now it is December 2nd and STILL NO DIAMOND!!! 🙁 We could understand a bit of a delay because of the holidays, but this is crazy. He called James Allen this past Sunday to confirm that the order would be sent yesterday so it would arrive today. Three seperate sales reps told him that the diamond will be at our apartment today and that they were 100% sure. Guess what? Still no diamond. He called again and the sales rep said that they will for sure have it there tomorrow (if that is to be believed). If we knew there would be this much of a delay we would have had James Allen also put on the setting! The main reason we only ordered the diamond is because we wanted fast shipping since my boyfriend and I both work long hours and he is out of town a decent amount due to work. Luckily he gets an extra day off tomorrow than orginally scheduled since if not they would have had to ship it to my work (and I work in the inner city-not the best area to send something expensive). I am just so fustrated bees 🙁 What happens if the order is delayed even longer? And now I am worried the local jeweler is going to take their time putting on the setting and we won’t be able to have the proposal until after Christmas. Ugh, did anyone else have this experience too???!!!
