My hometown is Staten Island, NY–so I’m Oh soooo proud to say that Vinnie G from Jersey Shore is from my hometown …lol ok not that proud, but I think he is adorable =)
We had a guy from our high school who was on the Real World…don’t remember his name and never watched the show though. He came and talked to us once, and I just remember he was a major tool (I’m sure that narrows it down, lol). I don’t even remember what he talked about.
A bit of googling tells me that Ian Somerhalder (The Vampire Diaries, and Boone from Lost) went to my high school. He graduated a couple years before I entered the school though. And apparently some model on The Price is Right.
I believe that Snookie of Jersey Shore fame (ha) claims to be from my neck of the woods Poughkeepsie, NY. She’s really from a small town across the river but I do know people who knew her before she was on tv… they never really have anything nice to say about her… shocking right?
Ed McMahon is from my town and Jay Leno is from a few towns over. Not reality stars but still pretty cool.
@mikaylav3 @bride2bejc @ LadyPeace – All right! We’re all Jersey Shore people! Does that mean we get to fist pump!?!
Uh, Jillian from the Bachelor went to Kelowna for her hometown date because her parents live there now, but I don’t think she ever did…
Kristin Holt from American Idol is from my hometown of Plano, TX. And I’m not sure if he techinically counts as a reality star, but Lance Armstrong is also from Plano and we even had the same 6th grade science teacher. There’s also a few other athletes from here as well.
Oh yeah, and Jessica and Ashlee Simpson are from the suburb right next to mine. It was pretty exciting when I was in middle school haha. I got to see Jessica perform in a parking lot during that lull of her being kind of famous with one hit but no one really caring (right before their reality shows) in my hometown.
I am now distantly related to John Voight…We like to call him “uncle john”. But I don’t think that anyone famous has hailed from our town… not too many people leave haha
The guy who invented Napster is from my hometown.
I live very close to Laguna Beach (like 15 minutes away), and my aunt actually lives in Laguna Beach, so I chill there a lot. My aunt’s son (so my cousin :P) was on the last season of the tv show Laguna Beach (Chase), and his best friend at the time Tessa was on the show too (she was the narrator of the last season) and she did my hair for my 8th grade dance. I never was a fan of the show though, and funny enough even Chase hated the show! But it was so weird to see camera people around Laguna Beach, and to see places I had been and knew very well on tv. Like, they filmed in my aunt’s house, and it was just weird seeing the place where we have our private family Christmas parties on tv.
Ugh. ATL has the housewives.
And I can honestly say that I have not been to any of the restaurants they visit. Nope. But I do get a laugh out of watching them sometimes but can only stomach so much. They give ATL a bad reputation imho with all the crazy out of control drama and the women I know from here (who fit into a similar type category like the housewives) are nothing like them at all.
I went to high school with Donnell, who was on MTV’s Road Rules (South Pacific season). I don’t think he made it through the whole season- he was in some legal trouble back here in Boston for domestic abuse/restraining order violation.
Sigh.
