For many, many reasons I don’t want any flowers at my wedding. I’m not doing any sort of bouque and I’m fine and not worried about that but when I contacted our DOC about decor and vendors for our centerpieces she did not seem to comprehend the idea of no flowers. We’re having a destination wedding in Jamaica so I’m envisioning driftwood, candles, perhaps sand, shells, and/or candles.
Anyone else succeed in this? Anyone else run into resistance in having a flowerless wedding? Feel free to post your photos of flowerless centerpieces as well!

I feel the same. I started by saying I don’t wanto to have any flowers as part of the decoration, but then it became my obsession to have a flower free wedding, it might sound silly but it’ll make me feel special to pull off a wedding with no flowers at all (other than the very few ones in the venue, it’s a garden). I’m trying to do a dried-branches, candles, autumn leaves, paper flowers (i know, but they’re PAPER =P) and paper lanterns decoration and bouquets.
This is my dream centerpiece, Fiance and I talked about something like this. This picture it’s the exact same thing I had in mind (but with an Ivory candle):

This is a mock-up of my tables. I’m going to do without the rosebuds and the short glass containers.
And this is my bouquet inspiration (ohdearphotography.com)

Here’s a Bee’s blog post with a TOOOON of different non-floral centerpieces.
When I was searching, I found using the keywords “non floral centerpiece” came up with a lot of good search results.
