I decided to go with a spacer band in between my ering and wedding ring (wedding ring tbd but I want a fairly thin, straight ring since my fingers are super short).

GymnastQt009:  I love your set. My ring is similar to yours and I had been wondering if something like that with sapphire would look good. I’m officially going to have to try one on.

summerlove23:  I had a tough time voting. The straight micro pave looks nice and would look beautiful with one on the top and bottom, I tried that same combo and loved it. And the curved suits your ring nicely. But, I voted for #3. I like the contrast.

Curved micropave band for me! It’s got plain silver on the bottom which gives it a mixed look which I really like. image1 copy

I have a twisted shank e-ring with a matching curved micro pave band and while I think it’s by far the best match for my ring, I have definitely wished I had a band that could be worn on it’s own at times.  Those instances are rare though.

If I was going to choose something different as a band for myself, I’d go for the marquise and round straight band but I’m not convinced it wouldn’t bother me that they don’t “fit together” when worn together.  I think it depends on your personality…  I’m admittedly slightly OCD! LOL

summerlove23:  I have a straight diamond band to go with my split shank because I wanted to wear my wedding band alone and curved bands can look odd by themselves. I also I liked the fact that they look like two separate bands. But I voted for the curved band for you because it looks the most beautiful with yours! you can’t go wrong because your ring is absolutely gorgeous!

summerlove23:  How high is your setting? My wedding band is a version of your #3 and i found out it rubbed my emerald a little and i actually had one fall out within a month of being married. The jewler was horrified adn replaced it for free. my $0.02 is just check the side of it to see how the wedding band sits agianst the Engagement Ring.

My wedding band was being custom made to platinum so we changed it up to incluse my DH’s birthstone (emerald)  because my birthstone is a diamond.

I’m in the same boat 🙁 we went shopping for a band and I think I’m going to have to get it custom made…and two of them one on top and one on bottom! And allll I can see is $$$ womp.

I say curved band but I’m biased. I was originally looking at straight bands because I wanted something tiny and simple and that’s what the jeweler had out to try on but I ended up going with the matching band for my ring without ever seeing it in person.

Following. I’ve got a split shank but there are diamonds on the top row of one side and the bottom of the other. It’s platinum. I’m not sure what I’m going to have as a band!!
