I am too.  Fiance and I are just doing stockings for each other.  With his family, we have decided to just get gifts for the kids and that the adults won’t get each other gifts.  With my family, we drew names so we are each only buying for one person.

It’s a good idea for us since we’re having a destination wedding and everyone is trying to save money to go to Hawaii!

Fiance and I are only buying gifts for eachother and we have a $50 limit. My parents made us promise that we won’t buy anything else since we’re in the process of looking for a house. Everybody else is very understanding, exept FI’s family. I really dislike them. They called up Fiance about 2 weeks ago and DEMANDED that he pay $85 towards his mom’s gift. The family (which is very small) is chipping in on her gift and they are giving Fiance a hard time and making him pay $85. He hasn’t paid yet, and I don’t think he will. We’re too poor to pay that kind of money right now.

Well, not because of the wedding, but because we’re broke colllege students- yes, haha. Fiance and I aren’t exchanging gifts at all for the second Christmas in a row now. I don’t see us being any richer next year either. It doesn’t bother me though, we have enough crap in my apartment and his room at his parents’. πŸ™‚ I think it’s nice to just enjoy each other’s company and not focus on shopping.

We are. My Fiance and are are doing small presents for each other, and I’m making presents for my family. Family’s not getting me anything, because they’re paying for the wedding. But I’m cool with it. πŸ™‚

Yes for us – decided on no gifts, but he gets incredibly sooky when he doesn’t get a gift, even though he says he doesn’t want anything, so I’ve got him some small gifts and we’ve decided on a picnic Christmas lunch, just sandwiches and soft drinks on the beach for us, nothing fancy! Sounds perfect to me though.

Yep. We bought a 42 inch tv on Black Friday for our Christmas and we split the cost of that so it can go in our living room after we’re married. We’re getting married in 6 months and we are in the process of opening up our own bussiness so I just bought him 2 shirts from his favorite store and I have no idea what he got me. We kept it to a $30 max.

Kind of. Mainly it’s the fact that we got a house 4 months ago, but also the wedding is 2 months later. πŸ™‚

Last year my husband & I had a low key Christmas due to getting married on December 11th! We spent 150 dollars on everyone PLUS our gifts to each other.

We snagged really good deals on ebay & actually everyone’s gifts came from ebay. πŸ™‚

Yup we cut way back. We are just do stockings for eachother and had a limit for our family members. We travel a lot around the holidays and also host a beaufitul Christmas Eve dinner. I dont remember most of the gifts I have receieved in past years, but I do remember spending time with family. That is what Christmas is about.
