I had one the other night, where I was walking down the staircase toward the altar, and my heel got stuck in a crack and I fell down the steps and broke my nose and arm and had to be rushed to the ER. My dress was ruined, my face was ruined, it was horrible. Except the slow motion 3rd person view of my falling. That was totally ROFL worthy.

@kahn-dees: At my parent’s wedding, my dad actually DID spill red wine all over my mom’s dress! It’s funny now, but at the time I think my mom was not too happy about it

I have weird wedding dreams all the time, usually about whatever I’m working on at the moment. Right now we’re on invitations, so my panicked dreams are about things like cardstock weight and printing mishaps. Most boring nightmares ever!

Every.single.night.

It’s always pretty much a different rendition of the same dream. We always forget to get our license, I never have enough time to get ready (or we forgot it was the day) and I miss the entire reception. And it rains.

I have a nightmare related to the wedding every night. It’s awful!

@kahn-dees: Haha, seriously! She said a relative rushed over and doused her in club soda and it did the trick…just in case you ever have to worry about that (hopefully you never will!)

I had them leading up to the wedding-my favorite was the one where my Darling Husband isn’t there and I am telling him what a great wedding it was!  Last night I had one where we were doing a 2nd wedding, but I didn’t book the hair and make up people and had a different dress, and I was an hour late.  I’m so glad our wedding is done, and was perfect!

I had one that our wedding was in a massive, haunted old school and nobody knew which room my dress was in, so I was running around this massive old scary place with my bridesmaids stressing out and trying to find my dress! It was atrocious. I’ve been watching too much “Don’t tell the bride”!!!

i had so many bad wedding dreams that i can’t even remember them all. things that happened included BMs running off immediately off the ceremony and they didn’t want to stay for pics, my officiant friend telling me at the last minute she can’t come, my photographer being a total flake, i can go on and on!  oh, going to pick up my dress and it being this mid-thigh, slutty little thing (i had this dream the night before i went to pick up my dress of course!).

But the absolute WORSRT dream was the night before my wedding. it lasted so long and felt SO real!  It was all about the ceremony.  I had put so much thought into planning my ceremony and making it special…then in my dream, NONE of it happened. The officiant skipped us saying our own vows, didn’t do the wine box ceremony, did not ask our friends to read the poems they were supposed to. nothing, nada, nothing! we said “I do” and that was it. and we were indoors (not on the beach!).  The dream ended with  me being so incredibly depressed because i just knew it was just too late. i was married and there was no getting “un married” and doing it properly! I then woke up that morning of my wedding still feeling depressed and had to really think it through for a few seconds before i realized it was not too late!

I just had one last night! I dreamt that we were having the rehearsal this weekend even though the wedding isn’t until next year, but I kept thinking that the actual wedding was this weekend too, so I kept thinking, “Oh crap, we haven’t even written the ceremony yet, and my centerpieces aren’t done, and I haven’t asked my aunt to be a reader,” and all these other things. But I was oddly calm about it…somehow I just added it all to my mental to-do list and trusted that it would all get done.

Then we were at the rehearsal but for some reason it was in a huge, and crowded, church. Fiance and I were sitting in the congregation instead of acting in the rehearsal (I guess it was more like a “watch how your wedding will look to the audience” type thing? I dunno) and my girls started walking down the aisle to Here Comes The Bride (which is not what I’m using as my processional), and the DOC came over to hand us programs and I said, “Um, wait, can’t I use the music I picked in the church?” and she told me no, it had to be church music played on the organ. I was pretty upset. I asked my Fiance and my grandma why there were so many people there (our real guest list is around 100, there were at least 300 people in this dream) and they both said that it was just members of the “church family” who came to weddings regardless of whether or not they were formally invited. This also made me uncomfortable because Fiance and I are atheists and are pretty adamant about not having a church wedding.

So the whole dream was all about “The Church” and its rules overtaking the wedding we actually want, and both of us feeling uncomfortable about it but for some reason in the dream we couldn’t do anything to change it either. Weird!

I woke up feeling so relieved and immediately went to listen to my processional song because I love it so much haha.

Yes!  I’ve dreamt twice that my mom changed my wedding plans – food and decor – without telling me, and I don’t find out until I’m there at the reception.

I know my mom would never do that, but it’s still giving me anxiety!
