- Wedding: October 2009
My rehearsal is on Thursday, my wedding is on Saturday. I made the rehearsal Thurs. b/c I am making all my centerpieces on Friday night since i’m using real flowers.
I contacted my ring bearer’s parents, their dad is the Bridesmaid or Best Man and told them, they didn’t care and they live in Mass so I wanted to make sure they could come to Jersey and it wouldn’t be a problem.
I then contacted my aunt who lives in South Jersey, she’s singing at the wedding and apprantely it’s a huge deal for her husband to take off a day and half at work, and I know for a fact he has the time to do it, and I told them so early, wedding isn’t till October, so they would have plenty of time to plan. She essentially told me you got to do what you got to do, whatever that means.
Then I contacted my flower girl’s mom, who lives only an hour away. She said she couldn’t possibly make it, she has to work. So I suggested her husband drop the kids off, and she could meet us for the dinner later. She said we shall see.
What exactly does that mean? and how come people make the commitment to be part of a wedding, when the obviously rather not? I’d rather have people say o thanks anyway but i’ll pass, than to flake out on the responsibility.
I am just fed up, I don’t think that i’m asking too much, in fact it’s all i’ve asked anyone to do so what the big deal is I don’t know.
