Are you going to Disneyland or Disneyworld?

If you’re going to Disneyland I know tons of tips & tricks… Disneyworld is somewhat of a mystery to me as I’ve only been there once!

There are so many special things to do at both Disneyland & DisneyWorld, just depends on where you are going! I actually live in SoCal so I know a ton about Disneyland, but most people typically honeymoon in DisneyWorld so I’ll start there with some ideas.

Epcot Dessert Cruise – You can make arrangements to have a captain take you two by yourselves or with other couples on a boat through the Epcot waterways to watch the Illuminations Firework show, it’s super romantic!! This books up fast as well, check on it way before you go.

Grand Floridian Private Dinner – My fiance surprised me with this on our last trip to WDW, it was absolutely incredible. Most people don’t even know that it exists, it is not at any of the actual restaurants in the Girlfriend. We had a special 4 course meal with champagne & wine on a private balcony overlooking the water. The chef will tailor the menu to exactly what you want to be served, you have a private butler who will tend to your every request. The balcony floor and table were covered in rose petals. A special dessert comes out at the perfect time while the fireworks show is starting, it’s perfect! Schedule this at least 2 weeks in advance so the chef can prepare your menu. Do this instead of a fancy dinner at Victoria & Alberts!

Cinderella’s Royal Table – You can have breakfast or dinner inside Cinderella’s Castle in the Magic Kingdom. We’ve done the dinner, but I have never done the breakfast so I can’t talk much about that. The dinner was incredible, it is quite a great experience. This books sevvvveral months in advance so make sure to check early.

Sea Breeze Point – Go visit this place for some cute pictures in the gazebo overlooking the water. Lots of couples choose this as a wedding location. The actual Wedding Pavilion is fun to visit also!

Horse-Drawn Carriage – Some of the resorts have carriage rides that you can book, they are really fun and romantic! You can have wine and everything!

Pleasure Island – Go dancing at Downtown Disney’s Pleasure Island… think about dancing the night away like at your reception!

Those are just a few ideas!!! The possibilities are endless at WDW 🙂

We just honeymooned at WDW… Truly MAGICAL!!  So many things to do and you get extra attention from wearing the wedding ears and the just married button 🙂

Yes, WDW or DL?  I am ‘mini-mooning’ at WDW, as we live in Orlando, and I work at WDW =)

We honeymooned at WDW and Universal Studios.  I would recommend getting the Just Married Button – it got us free fast passes to several rides including Space Mountain!

As for Disneybriide’s comment about Downtown Disney’s Pleasure Island – when we were there last October, they were actually shutting down Pleasure Island permanently.  At least that’s what they told us.  Maybe they just renovated and it’s back?  I would check on that though.

@ MissPenny (and everyone else interested)

Pleasure Island, as it was, is closed (the clubs) but the area is still open, more restaurants and shops are being added everyday which has definitely changed the ‘landscape’ of the place, but it’s “there” =)

@ MissPenny –

I work Guest Relations at Epcot and am a tour guide (VIP, Segway and guided tours of Epcot)
