Yes and no. On the one hand, I am getting pretty uncomfortable, and I am so super anxious and excited to meet the baby. On the other hand, all my arrangements for maternity leave, baby prep, family visits, etc. have been made kind of planning on not having her until the end of Sept (due 9/25, doctor won’t let me go past 9/30). Of course these plans could be tweaked a little, but it would create some havoc.

I had my 36 week appt yesterday and they checked my cervix- still totally closed. Doctor said she thought maybe I’d be like one cm, but no. It appears that my body has not started making any preparations for this baby- no contractions, the baby hasn’t dropped, cervix is still closed, etc. I will admit to being a little disappointed, but it’s probably better this way.

I didn’t mind being uncomfortable (I didn’t like it but I could live with it), I was more annoyed with the not knowing when she would come. So I just wanted her to come and then I would know.

But of course she came on her due date, so I really knew all along!

By 35 weeks I was done. I was thinking “Please be early, cooked, but early…” 38-39 weeks would have been awesome.

But no such luck, she was almost 2 weeks LATE!

I did with both my kids, but NEVER again.  I’d rather be uncomfortable.

My son was late.

My daughter was four/five weeks early.  And ended up in the NICU for a week.  Whenever I get pregnant again, I’ll definitely NOT be wishing it out early.  Not after my daughter.

Two weeks early is okay, but before that, there can be serious problems.

Yep! I’ve been hoping that since 37wks! I’m 39wks now and who knows when this baby will show! I’m so impatient right now, I’m going crazy. Nevermind I’m on leave now because my back is killing me,as well as on and off contractions. 🙁

Hopefully soon!

I am too! I’m only 25 wks right now, but our daughter is due Dec. 13th so I”m hoping for a couple wks early to give her some time before Christimas! But like you said, I want her healthy above all else so if she has to stay in a little longer I think I’ll make it Laughing

I’m only 10 weeks, but my current due date is exactly 2 days before my 27th birthday, and I REALLY want to have him/her before I turn 27 (it’s silly, but whatever!).

I told dh we’re going to be doing the ‘get this baby out’ dance basically from Mid-March on!

@spraguebride: 37 weeks is already considered term, and if baby is more than 2500 grams, he/she should be good to go 🙂

No not really, only because if that is the case it would be history repeating itself. I myself was born in Oct and should have been born in Nov I was definately early. Kiddo is due in mid Nov and I hope he stays put until his due date. Only unless he comes a couple of days early because I think would be neat if he came on 11/11/11.

Mmm Hmm!  I’m done!  Tired of everything and NOW my maternity shirts aren’t fitting.  What do you do when they don’t fit???  The next size up is like wearing a bag, the tummy is ok, but the boobs and arms are too big, ugh!!!

All along I’ve had a feeling she’d be a September baby, like the 3rd or 4th week of September,  time will tell but yes I’m pretty much done with being pregnant!
