@FauxPas2012:  Thanks! Thought I might share these pics with you as well. This is one of last week’s completed DIY projects… my lifesize cat cutouts!

Fiance actually wanted me to ask the venue if we could bring our cat… I told him no lol….My boy will stay safe and sound at home.

I love the cut outs! I might have to steal the idea and incorporate them into my day…. maybe aisle markers? lol

i love this thread.  we’re not doing a cat theme but we have three of the awesomest furballs ever…they’re so friendly and social, and love belly-rubs, etc.  we live in a 1500sqft townhome ATM and, in spite of all the space they could be in, all three are generally wherever we are in the house.  i’ve been racking my brains trying to figure out a way to include them or represent them somehow…some kind of cat-symbol, somewhere.  they’re a major part of combining our lives.  they were my cats, and then we moved in together and Fiance became their new neko-daddy (as he calls himself), lol.  i can’t do a cake topper because my sister had a vintage S&P set that were cats on her cake.  :  i’m sure i’ll think of something.

@sofiekitty:  SO CUTE!!! Love all your cat touches ๐Ÿ™‚

We are incorporating our furball into our Save-The-Date shoot and I want to get custom stamps with his picture.  He will also be part of our cake topper ๐Ÿ™‚

My Fiance and I love our furbabies. we would love to have them with us on the day, but I think it would cause a few raised eyebrows from both families. so we are putting a little message at the back of our Kids Activity books.

@sofiekitty:  Another crazy cat lady here – or couple, Fiance and I adore our two cats. They’re our furry babies that will never grow up and move away from home. ๐Ÿ™‚ Honestly, part of why I regret the Destination Wedding aspect of our wedding (the other part being the logistical nightmare) is the fact that Mammut & Digby won’t be able to be there for our big day. I know it’s silly to anyone that doesn’t understand that you can love a pet so much, but to Fiance and I it’s a real pain. However, it was them or my 85 year old grandma so we had to go with the Destination Wedding. We’ll have a photo table for our wedding, displaying photos of our parents when they got married etc, so we’ll have a few photos of them that we’ll bring along and display. We’re also seriously considering to have “Our house” by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young as our first song as it’s the only song we know where they sing of two cats.

I think the kitty elements that you’re planning to incorporate are great, so sweet. If you have cupcakes for your wedding, you could perhaps have someone make something like this!

I love that idea, as well as some of the ideas on here too! This gives me motivation to incorporate cats into our wedding. ๐Ÿ™‚

Our signature drinks are named for our cats.

The “Gatito” Mojito

The “Squeak”

The “Cheechoo” (non-alcoholic b/c she is a simpleton cat)

Behind our B & G cake topper will be a small cat and a hockey stick.  But that is it for cats in the wedding.  People already think I’m crazy cat lady.
