I feel everyones pain, I was doing great over the holidays and then since starting a new job in Feb I have gained 8 pounds or so, and now have ~15 to lose, not eight. Any one have good suggestions for a diet?

@adoc86: you sound like me. I’m always either losing (busting my butt) or gaining (without any effort at all), but never staying the same, smh. I took the batteries out of the scale and threw them out. I can’t handle the stress of seeing that number change on a daily basis.

It’s not even that I need to lose weight, I just need to tone up. I’ve kind of got that “skinny fat” thing going on where I know I’m not fat at all, I just kind of look squishy lol.
I started doing the “Mighty Muscle May” daily workout thing, because it’s a small, quick thing that even I can commit to doing. I HATE the gym. HATE HATE HATE it. It makes me cranky thinking about being there. Ugh.

@IzzyBear: yay for being date twins 🙂
I am proud to say I watched dear Fiance devour a block and a half of chocolate while we watched movies on our lazy sunday.. And I only ate 1 square! My will power is getting stronger 🙂
Does anyone have any recipes/suggestions for meals that are low fat but their Fiance will still eat?

I’d been doing a boot camp the last two months but got injured and have to put it on hold. I really need to get the eating in check though and keep up on cardio. I don’t know why I can’t just motivate myself right now!!!!!

Good luck to all you ladies! I freaked out about 4-5 months before my wedding and managed to lose a decent amount of weight. You can do it!!

@MrsMagillToBe: i eat healthy and exercise so i am not trying to lose any weight for the wedding but my Fiance is.
he did really well, lost 30 lbs, then gained almost 15 back. he’s doing something called dietbet.com which seems to help him stay motivated. he told me we can’t have our engagement photos done until he loses more weight.

I’ve been trying to eat better. I’ve lost almost 30lbs over the last 6 months. If I lose 1lb per week until the wedding, I’ll hit my goal. I just need to exercise, which I’m terrible at.

I’m freaking out too! I’m 5’7″ and 145ish now, and would like to be at 130ish. I have not done a god damned thing, because I haaaaaaate exercise… yet I nag myself every day in my head. I know I’m not overweight, but I’m definitely not happy with the way I look.
And now it just got a lot harder for me to jump on the wagon because a month ago I picked up a second part time job to save for the remaining money we need for the wedding… so right now, I am working 65 to 75 hours a week, 7 days a week.

I have been trying to get out for at least a half hour brisk walk every night, have cut down on carbs and portions. In 3 months I have lost about 3 lbs. I really want to lose at least 10 to fit my dress better, but it just isn’t happening.

Just dropping in from the August 2013 board to say hi. I would really like to lose weight but I am a stress eater, so the closer the wedding gets, the harder it is to motivate myself!

@LucyLaLa: Yeah I gain weight like crazy when I’m stressed 🙁
Damn all those women that lose weight when they’re stressed lol!

I just love cookies! I am trying to use myfitnesspal as a tool to help – but it only works if I remember to use it.
