Totally been stressing over it!!!! Thank goodness the weather is good again. I am very out of shape, and i am starting slow, going to try to walk the dog around the block everynight. Just completed night one! now to keep that up, and once that doesnt tire me out, ill add to my routine. I never thought i would be at this point of overweight and out of shape, and exhasuted after a mile walk…. ugh!! good luck to everyone whos trying to shed those pounds before oct!

trying to stick to my plan – we went to a party yesterday and while I did have a small piece of cake I didn’t have a bun with my burger and had it on a salad instead! Hoping that those little changes will help along with my gym time.
I am sort of scared to get on the scale though bc if it isn’t good I know I will get disappointed and mess things up…. but I really need some “proof”

@littlemisshostess: Just rememeber the scale isn’t the best indication that you’re losing fat.
Muscle weighs more then fat 🙂

Hey fellow October brides!!
Since my original post a week ago, I have completed Week 1 of INSANITY!! It was literally insane. But I have to say, I’ve never sweat that much or worked that hard doing any other type of exercise…in my entire life! Starting Week 2 tonight and I’m still scared haha. I can’t wait until these exercises aren’t as hard to get through(but I doubt they will ever be “easy” lol)

Ladies with 5-6 months – you can lose a significant amount of weight. I urge you not to survive on ‘fruits and veggies’ and no carbs. Just eat healthy – cheat meal once a week (meal, not day) cut your complex carbs 3-4 hours before bedtime. Get healthy portions of protein, fats, and carbs (along with those fruits and veggies) and get moving everyday – even if that just means a brisk walk after dinner. No use doing the starvation route since you’ll give yourself metabolic damage, gain it all back after the wedding (and then some) and have a harder time losing it because of your damaged metabolism.
Do it right, the first time 🙂 – from a personal trainer (you all can do it, believe you can!)

Don’t even get me started on this topic! Lol. My plan was to start working out as soon as I graduated (last week, yay!), but in March I developed some medical issues which makes it hard for me to walk, let alone work out! I’m super cranky. I’m hoping it gets better soon so I can hit the gym!

I’m freaking out because I hate how I look in our engagement photos. It made it really real how big I am. My dress doesn’t fit either. My goal is 30 lbs before my dress fitting. I just have to stop coming up with excuses and start working out!

@MrsMagillToBe: I have gained 6kgs by going to the gym almost every day and eating salads & protein. It’s because I’m so stressed. I don’t know what to do anymore, I do yoga, pilates etc but nothing works to lower the stress. I’m trying to avoid medication but am getting desperatewhich is making me more stressed 🙁

Ugh, I’m right there with you. Except now there’s only 4 months to go! I wanted to lose 10-15 lbs before my wedding, then I gained 5 more! Now I have 15-20 lbs to lose. My dress comes in at the end of June, so I need to at least lose 5 lbs to get back to what I was when I bougght the dress…and I really wanted to lose another 5 lbs before then so my dress looked better. So frustrating…like a few others, I seem to be always losing or gaining and never maintaining.
But with 4 months to go, I am determined to get this weight off! I just started the Atkins diet on Monday and I’ve already lost 3 lbs, so I’m hoping I’ll be able to get at least 10lbs off in the next month before my dress comes in.
After seeing my engagement pictures it really brought home how much I do not want to look like that in my wedding photos!
