Honestly the only thing I find that makes that feeling go away is to get outside everyday, even just for a walk around the block. Fresh air just has a way of making you feel better and more energized.

I have been on vacay for 2 weeks and I swear I need at least 2 more!!:( Me and Fiance were saying we are thinking our first year of marriage will be easier cause what causes ME the most stress is this wedding! (the reception planning part)

@brideatbeach:  I hear yah! Cureently a trainee teacher, its 1am here in the UK and I’m up finishing as essay thats due in tomorrow. Then at Uni tomorrow, part-time job on Saturday, and spend Sunday doing chores / getting myself organised for Monday. We’ve only just gone back from Christmas and I’m already counting down to the summer holidays!

How about take a loooong hot shower and a decent nights sleep?

@brideatbeach: oh no πŸ™ did you manage to get much of a break over the Christmas holidays? Also is there anyway you can ask for support at work? I don’t know how your school system works over there, but are there any teaching assistants who could step up and help you out temporarily while you get back on your feet again?

@brideatbeach: how long do you have to keep up with the extra curriculars?

If you’re feeling physically exhausted, maybe think about getting some suppliments to see if they help. Or visit the doc to check that you’re not anaemic – that can seriously mess with your energy levels.

However, if it’s psychologyical exhaustion maybe reach out to your SO / Mum / sister, and ask for a little bit of help. Coming home to find that someone has done the washing for you and made something hot for dinner every once in a while will really give you a little boost πŸ™‚

Yup.  Darling Husband and I both feel this way.  I have classes from 9-12, then I teach from 12:30-6.  I am supposed to have class from 6-8:30 on top of that.  I am completely exhausted after it all!  Darling Husband leaves at 10 am and gets home at 8:30pm.  Same thing- tired all the time.

I totally feel you. I work a regular 9-5 job but my commute is around 2 hours long so I leave the house around 6:15am and get home around 6:15pm. Then I have to make dinner, clean up, do chores, and try and catch up on some reading or TV-watching. Forget doing anything fun with my Fiance or friends. And I’m constantly exhausted and burnt out. It really sucks but there’s no way around it. I also don’t have much time for WB anymore and I hate it πŸ™ but what can you do.

I feel as though I could lay down and sleep for daysssss. I feel your pain πŸ™‚ I am a grad student and have two internships one of which requires working on Saturdays so lately I don’t feel as if I ever have a break. I keep telling myself that graduation is right around the corner and that this will all be over soon but I know once I get a job I am probably going to be just as stressed! I hope you can find a way to feel more calm and rested!

@brideatbeach: That’s crazy, how can you be an effective teacher to them if you’re so ill / tired? At least you’ve got some support to come home to, that’s the improtant thing.

@Kant: Just make sure you make the most of your days off! Whether you want to get out and about or have a PJ day, just make sure you make it happen!
