You’re not the first and you won’t be the last ๐Ÿ™‚ I don’t know the details of what is driving you crazy but as best you can— just try to block it out. If it is wedding details, assign someone else to make a decision or let it go. Your sanity is more important than napkin rings, ya know? And when the day gets here just ENJOY it and don’t worry about anything else.

I must have said that a thousand times… and then when it was over I was saying “I can’t believe it’s over!” Just keep thinking about that beach in Fiji, that’s what helped me get through …looking forward to the honeymoon! Just take one day at a time because the next three weeks are going to fly! Good luck with all the last minute things and hope you have a perfect day!

Woah…you have a LOT going on! It’s no wonder you’re stressed out! Just keep in mind that you have a whole lot to look forward to too!!! The inlaws will always be inlaws, but you have a friggin house! A new husband! A puppy! AND you’re lucky enough to have health care and a full time job! Think of all of the things that you’re blessed with and just keep smiling! It will be over before you know it and you’ll never get to repeat any of this again – cherish it while you can and realize how lucky you are (even if it doesn’t always feel like it sometimes!)!

Totally normal.  That’s what a lot of us have said or will say.  Its almost done though.  Just try to take some ‘me time’, doing things that you enjoy and that are totally unrelated to the wedding.  It will help a little bit.

Um, less than three weeks to my wedding:

bands fell through

no one to do my hair

having to bring alcohol when the restaurant is supposed to be gourment

losing our cabin rentals

losing our wedding night cabin

venue calling us liars and manipulators

don’t have any ceremony music ready

spending all the time I need to work on projects trying to fix things with the venue

of course family drama

I am SO done and just ready to cry because all I’ve ever wanted is my perfectly straight, ultra fine hair to be curled on my wedding day.

I was the same way. The only things that relaxed me were the pre-wedding beauty treatments. It’s only 3 more weeks and everything will turn out lovely! And the calm feeling when it IS over is amazing. I feel like I’ve taken a bunch of Xanax. Lol.

ALL THE TIME!!! I can’t wait for it to just be the day of the wedding, because at that point it will be too late to change anything! And I can stop obsessing over all the details. I just want to be on my honeymoon with my new hubby ๐Ÿ™‚

@roxy821: If you have any suggestions for music, how to curl hair only a hair dresser can curl, or a punching bag; send them my way. Oh, and if you have some friends I could hire to help me finish my projects that’d be awesome too. ๐Ÿ™‚

@TheFutureMcBride: Ceremony music – I totally struggled with this and ended up just picking some Vitamin String Quartet songs that I liked, put it on my iPod and called it a day.

As for the hair – mine is curly so I don’t have any good input, but I’ve heard that a smaller curling iron that gets really hot can work wonders. Any beauticians in the family that could “gift” you with curls?

All the time… but I also know I’m going to miss it (at least, in theory) when it’s over – so I’m TRYING to embrace the process….. key word: TRYING.

@Goldilocks1107: I really need to check out this Vitamin String Quartet. Must remember when I get home. As for a family member to do my hair, no, there’s no one. And I’m getting married in a rural part of West Virginia on a Sunday 2 hours from where I live. I’ve called all the hair places in a 50 minute radius and no one will do it. I’m pretty sure the venue coordinator called the 10 places and told them not to deal with me. It’s like if I can’t have all the things I was promised, I just want my hair done and that’s not going to happen.

its practically my mantra lately. i keep thinking of the sandy beaches in jamaica and taking a deep breath. its ALMOST over… then i can get back to being a normal person. *sigh*

@TheFutureMcBride: is it something complicated? if not sponge rollers work wonders for straight hair. just remember that hairspray is your best friend! ๐Ÿ™‚ {{HUGS}} and hoping things get better for you…
