Ughhh. I’m usually always so on top of these things, but for some reason I’m so lazy to start the process of picking out my photos for the album. Maybe bc there’s over 8,000 pictures. The wedding was in October! Is this normal? Is anyone else lagging like me? =/

LOL, well this is a bit of an extreme case, but… I’m using the same photographer as my brother and SIL did for their wedding 3 years ago, and she (the photog) often jokes to me about how my SIL took almost 2 years to finalize her album. And by joking I mean in a I’m-not-mad-about-it-but-no-seriously-it-was-annoying kind of way. Lol! Sooo it could be worse!

@Becs: Two years?! Wow. Ok I swear I won’t take that long but it sure does feel like it. What’s even crazier is that I’m in between work contracts right now so I definitely have the time. In fact, it would be the perfect time really. Guess I have to just suck it up. Secondly, that’s great that you’re using the same photog. Testimony that she/he must do great work!

- Wedding: June 2012 - Franklin Plaza
Uhhhh yea, we’ve been married since June and I’m just getting around to it. The goal is to have our album printed and in our hands before our anniversary. 😛

Our photographer gave us an album w 200 photos in it. But I still want to make one that’s similar to a flushmount one. So that will take some time as we have five discs of unedited photos 🙂

@Olive12: Yes it’s normal. It took me months. Think this is because your emotions and memories changorb over time after so you then feel different about each picture. No rush you’ll know when it’s right.

We got married in October, too. It was tough with the holiday season… who was thinking about the album?! My parents had our pix for a while… I got them back this weekend. I made a folder entitled OUR ALBUM. then I just separated all the pix into segments: before the ceremony( me getting ready, groom getting ready, family shots at the house), ceremony, after the ceremony (bridal party/family pix, signature drink reveal, signing marriage license), and reception. THEN I broke them down into sub categories like cake cutting, first dance, father/daughter … etc. Now I’m going to delete all the photos that I don’t want or I look bad in. Then I’m taking a BREAK!!! lol. I’ll get back to it in a few days!
8000 Pix???? OMG. We have a little over 1500. I’m not sure which ones to choose… do we put mostly just us in there? Yes, right? Us and our bridal party, and immediate family? lol. I’ve actually never seen anyone’s album except the samples from the photographer.
