Please, tell me I’m not the only one. Going to lunch, movie, art museum, I wouldn’t do without a friend. But shopping for clothes (weddings gowns excluded), I would rather do alone. That is, if I’m really intending to shop.
I walk pretty quickly (so lame). But other people kind of slow me down. Not to mention then I have to use some of my time waiting on them looking for stuff. I guess part of it is that I don’t feel like I have a ton of time in my life to shop. I don’t know.

I don’t do major clothes-shopping with other people, either. I take too long, wander too much, am too indecisive, etc. etc. Only I can put up with my clothes-shopping habits.

I’m the same way a lot of times. If I’m just shopping to shop, I like having a friend. But if I’m on a mission for something, I’d rather be alone. I want to go where I want to go, I don’t want to feel rushed if I want to check 6 different stores before buying the first thing I tried on, and I don’t require anyone else’s opinion on how my ass looks. 🙂

You’re not alone! I love shopping for clothes by myself. Unless it’s somethine I am unsure about and really want a second opinion! I find that I also walk really quickly, and I am usually in and out of stores fast and I don’t like to be slowed down either!

I shop on my own a lot. Part of it is because I don’t have a lot of people here who I am closed to and another part is that I just like shopping on my own. I am used to doing a lot on my own.

Depends where im going shopping! Some places i like to go alone. But if i have to walk all thru the mall i like to have a friend because of all the scary people trying to sell me something in the middle of the mall!

Me!!!!! I went to the mall with Darling Husband Saturday and I made him go get a pretzel while I did my thing. I really don’t like shopping with people. I feel like I’m a pain becasue I’m trying on clothes and the like. If i have things I need to buy, I just prefer to get in, get done, and do what I want to without feeling like I’m dragging someone else around. I like the freedom and liberty to do what I want and try stuff on. Unless we’re just doing a casual day–then I don’t mind going with my mom
Oh, and I’m totally that girl weaving around all the slow women with strollers and the families stopping to talk in the hallway. I HATE that! Outta my way!

I really like to shop alone. I love my friends and all, but sometimes I just need some alone time.
I also like to go to movies by myself occasionally. All my friends are hipster film snobs, and sometime I just want to go see a cheesy chick flick, you know?

I’m the same way! I’m never at the same speed when I’m with some one else. If I’m with my Fiance or my Mother, my problem is that I feel like I can’t take my time. I rush myself because I don’t want to hold them up. And when I’m with friends, they tend to take forever and I’m bored.

I would much rather shop alone. I’m a really decisive person, and have never been one to ask others how something looks on me before I buy it, so I have more fun by myself. I hate when someone can’t make a decision on whether to buy something or not, and I can’t stand when someone has to try EVERYTHING in the store on, then buys nothing. Yeah, I doubt people like to shop with me either!

I’m the same way most of the time. I like to take my time shopping and I don’t like feeling like I’m taking too long or that the other person is having to wait on me.

Me too. I can’t buy anything when I’m with friends because I’m too indecisive. Plus my girlfriends like different stores since I’m petite and they are all really tall so I feel bad dragging them into my store and then I have to go to their stores.
Yea I like to briskly walk to the different stores, definitely dashing around the old ladies and families! I hate slow walkers or people that just randomly stop.
Went to the mall this weekend was in and out in an hour and got exactly what I needed.

I really hate shopping with anyone but my husband. I’ve tried shopping with a group of girls, or even one other girl, and I just never feel like I can make a decision or take my time or go at my own pace. The only kind of shopping I’ll do with other people is non-clothes or window shopping.
I’m lucky, though, because with my husband, it’s different. He just lets me do my thing. There are definitely days where I go by myself though, and it feels good 🙂

I agree. I would rather go shopping for clothes with my Fiance or on my own. I have done most of my wedding shopping on my own, after my wedding dress shopping nightmare with my mom and sister (mom doesn’t like my dress. It’s not her taste). Movies, lunch, dinner, drinks… I have to be with someone!

I never shop for clothes with friends — we’re all too nice to one another! If I want to go shop-shopping, I take my Mom. She’ll always tell me if my future-child-bearin’ hips are going to pose a problem in a dress or jeans or whatever! LOVE her for her honesty!
