I love Dan Savage! He actually responded to an e-mail from me a few days ago, I just about fell out of my chair when I saw it in my inbox! Listening to his podcast made me realise I was dating a man-child a few years ago, and it really helped me move on from the relationship.

I’ve listened a couple times, read his book. I really like him. And I am totally vanilla so its fun for me to listen to all things people do and enjoy.

I listen every week, usually as I’m doing mundane emails and things at work (with headphones of course!!). I always feel a bit naughty for listening to it at work but its always entertained me. I was the girl who stayed up late to listen to Loveline with Dr. Drew and Adam Corolla when I was in middle and high school so its very similar to that…

    GGG!

Nothing in the podcast really pertains to my life, but I listen just because Dan is so damn funny and generally accepting of everyone who calls in. I’ve also read his books.

@google:  Hahaha, your comment cracked me up because I, too, used to stay up to listen to Dr. Drew and Adam…I didn’t have headphones so I would have to put my stereo down really, really low so my parents wouldn’t hear me listening to it.

I haven’t heard a Savage Love podcast, but you’ve inspired me to since I love Dan’s writing in his columns and I read his book The Commitment and thought it was pretty great.

I used to follow and read his Savage Love column, and I really enjoyed it. But about a year ago he posted some pretty inflammatory fatbashing letters, and it turn me off of him. I know he says exactly what he feels and doesn’t sugarcoat, but it still made me sad that he would be so accepting of so many things, but also think fat people are horrible and disgusting.

@thepainter:  That was the thing, I wasn’t even asking for advice! I was just giving him my opinion about some advice he wrote. I always figured that he deletes that sort of thing 99% of the time, but I wanted to let him know what I thought on the off chance he saw it.

@thepainter:  Yeah, I thought he had apologized for his “muffin top” comments but maybe you were thinking of another incident that I missed, GoldfishPie?

SO and I put the podcasts on often when we go to bed.

Dan’s voice lulls us to sleep. Or, it lulls SO to sleep while I lay awake giggling at the calls 🙂

I love Dan! I appreciate people who approach sex and sexuality like he does. I read his column every week, and while I haven’t agreed with every word he’s ever written, I hope that he indicates a trend of more sexually open and frank discussions. Go healthy sexuality and GGG!

Love him and love the podcasts. I download them and then if I can’t sleep, I listen to him. He’s a good friend of my boss, and she’s shared some really neat stories about him. As much as I don’t agree with sme things he talks about and writes about, I think he’s been really great in the field of sexuality. I also like that he is very sweet in person.
