I’ve fallen in love with the idea of having a wedding quilt guestbook, but noone seems to think it’s so grand. Here are a couple of pics for you bees who never heard of it
Can you bees please tell me if this is a fun modern idea, if it is a fun country idea or if it is a total no-no?

We did this. Just got a couple different light tanish colored squares and had everyone sign them. My Mom’s friend is putting it all together for us. We got some a couple darker squares to off the signatures. In the middle is a bigger square that we got monogrammed with our intitals and the date. Then the back fabric is totally different. It isn’t as country as some quilts are. At least that is the picture/vision I gave to my Mom to pass on. Her got busy working on something else, so we were married almost a year before she started on it. I need to find out where it is at now……

@katsbells nice!! Do you have any pictures from the reception so I can see how you did your layout?

My friend did this and it turned out really cute. For those that didn’t attend the wedding she sent pieces to their homes so that they could still participate in contributing.

I soooo wanted to do this, but Mr. LK was not a fan of the idea. 🙁

I’m doing this but instead of it being where people write on it I’m giving all of my friends 2 swatches of fabric in wedding colors (purple and silver) and asking them to make us a quilt square designed in a way that reminds them of the two of us, then I will have all the squares made into a quilt :3

@Steampunk angel I don’t understand, are they gonna cut the fabric you give them?

That is awesome! I wish I had thought of that/known about it!

Its an awesome idea. I went to a wedding where they did this, and their quilt turned out awesome. They just put different coloured squares on each table (about 5) and everyone signed them and drew pictures.
