I’m 35, Fiancé is 29 …first for us both and our wedding is in 2 weeks!  I’m very excited!  A lot of people told me I was too picky, but I wasn’t planning on ever getting married unless I found someone I didn’t want to live without, well…I finally found him!  I’m only a little stressed , because there is so much to do and I’ve been working a lot and doing all of the planning by myself. I’m so excited about the big day of course, and looking forward to a few days of vacation with my love after the wedding. Best wishes ladies 🙂

Yay for this thread!! I’ll be 38 when I walk down the aisle next June and he’ll be 46. First time being married for both of us and no kids.

Wish I had a wedding pic to post like some of the other Bees (gorgeous; all of them) but we just had our engagement pix taken at a bookstore…a really fun shoot for 2 bibliophiles! Congrats to all the other “mature” brides and brides to be on here. Hey, we still got it no matter what age we are 🙂

I’ll be 34, but my future hubby will be 23. So, I feel like I’ll really be somewhere around 27.

I’ll be 34 when I’m married…much older than most brides but so happy to truly know I’ve found the one!

I’m 37 and will be 38 when I get married.  Wasn’t my choice to wait this long but that’s how it worked out, and I’m glad I waited for this guy!  He’s 33.

I’ll be 35 or 36 when we walk down the aisle… We prefer to get married this year but who knows, maybe early spring 2017 if it makes more sense! My Fiance is 36. We’ve been together for a little over 2.5 years.

Both my husband and I were 35 when we got married, first marriage for both and one fur baby (dog). I am so glad I didn’t marry younger! It works for some but I was too stupid to be married in my 20s lol

it’s good to know that there are many brides in their 30s marrying for the first time – I sometimes feel like being an ‘older’ bride is a rare thing and i’m a bit sensitive about it as i never thought it would take me so long! It also feels a bit strange as we will just be starting our married life together this year whereas some of our siblings have teenage kids! I’ll be 34 and my Fiance will be 38 when we marry.

I’ll be 36 and my Fiance will be 34. First time for both of us and no kids either, we both spent a lot of time doing postgrad stuff and getting proffessionally qualified so it took a bit longer. He is worth waiting for though!

If I can squeeze into this thread, I’m 40 (sorry, a year too old) and he’s 32. Also both first time with no children. For various reasons, that’s how it’s worked out for me.

My experience of dress shopping was quite an eye opener for me. I’ve never before appreciated my age so much; being surrounded by twentysomethings who stand there like uncomfortable schoolkids letting their mums do all the talking for them. I’m generalising but it made me see one positive aspect of being an older bride.

Not quite, but I will be 34 this month and he is 31. We met when he was 29 and I was 32. He is so well worth waiting until my 30’s to meet!
