I dont buy clothes often but if i want something i will buy it. I dont know how long its going to take to get pregnant and at this point i wouldn’t be showing much until the fall, so buy away.

MRS-K:  Hmm, I gave up on that after 6 months TTC!! I buy when I need them because I will always fit into them after. I wear a lot of dresses so I’ll get 4-5 months out of them anyway and longer for some.

You could not buy a single thing again. Not trying to be negative just realistic. Nothing is for certain and you shouldn’t be holding yourself back from anything until it happens.

i’ve lost weight in the last year or two, and 6 of my 9 pairs of jeans are now too big in the waist. i told my husband though that i was going to keep them and not have them altered so they can become my maternity jeans. ha!

MRS-K:  I bought a few things in bigger sizes, thinking as you did! It was so nice to have some roomier t-shirts and capris, because for me there was a pretty long while when I didn’t need maternity clothes yet but my regular clothes were just not fitting right. Especially at first, I was so bloated and self-conscious and not telling yet, so having some looser fitting stuff was awesome!

MRS-K:  Yeah, I’m kind of in the same spot – I think it’s mostly just being frugal (DH and I are really cutting back on all unnecessary spending this summer until he starts his new job), but I also have thoughts of “Well, how much wear will you get out of this?  Could it be worn during pregnancy?” I know it could take a long time, but on the other hand, it might not!  I don’t think it’s unreasonable to think about that possibility.

I’m having the opposite problem!  I’m 38 weeks pregnant and I don’t want to buy any shoes just in case my shoe size is going to change permanently!  Arg!

You won’t show for awhile anyway! I’m 25 weeks in to my second pregnancy and can still wear some of my pp clothes. Just buy what you want. 🙂
