and who are these people that get so confused at weddings without a program that they don’t know what to do with themselves. LOL. waste of money, IMO.

the last wedding i went to didn’t have programs.  while i don’t find them neccessary, i would have liked to know the names of the people involved in the ceremony.

We didn’t do programs, and neither did my bffs. They weren’t missed at all!

The last wedding I was also at, they didn’t do programs. I felt that had I not been a part of the wedding (I was a PA), I wouldn’t have known who anyone was standing up for the bride and groom.

We are having a small ceremony (40 people), but I still want to do a program. I have a template already written up (for the most part), and bought some thicker shimmer paper for it – so it’s all DIY.

I just know that some of my family will like to keep it, especially my parents and even myself.

I really don’t get the program thing… but I feel pressured to do them because everyone I know has them.  With three weeks to go, the last thing I need is another project.  Ugh.

We’re not doing programs for each guest, but I am making a large sign with the usual program information.  We’re doing a backyard wedding and I don’t want to have to deal with 50 programs trashed around the yard afterwards.  I only find programs helpful if it’s a long ceremony with a lot of special readings or elements to it.

I don’t really understand the point of programs. What’s the point? You go, watch your friends get married, congratulate them, have cake and dance. Ta-da! So we’re bypassing them. I don’t need the added stress and especially the expense of something no one cares about anyway.

daisy351:  I skipped them and it was totally fine! We had a large wedding party so I hand wrote a chalkboard list of the party to sit at the entrance of the ceremony and called it a day!
