I’m with everyone here.  I hate the word but more than that I hate when I get corrected.  I will call him my boyfriend and people will say “you mean your fiance?” Yes, him!  I think both have used it a total of 5 times.  HATE IT!

I use his name when I’m around my friends and family.  If it comes up with strangers I’ll call him my boyfriend and then they’ll correct me, point to my finger and say “your fiance.”  I also call him my F-Hubs when I’m talking to him, he calls me his F-Dubs–but that’s when we’re joking around together.

Calling him my fiance reminds me of “First Wives Club” when Sarah Jessica Parker is showing them around the apartment and calls the office “Le Office” (pronouced off-eece). lol

I’m with you – I never used Boyfriend or Best Friend and now hate to use Fiance… although, I like it MUCH more than Boyfriend or Best Friend.  I say it more in terms of people who don’t know Fiance and wouldn’t know we were engaged.  I usually say – this is “first name” we are getting married in “x” months!  (which is now weeks – eek!) 😉
