We don’t in our current house.  We have very few kids as we are in a mostly older community.  My dads neighborhood had loads of kids and has for years, but he is in a popular neighborhood for its schools.  I did notice that when I had my house some years there were tons and some years there were hardly any, I think that it just ebbs and waves by population changes.

Halloween has been postponed until Saturday? Or Monday? due to the Hurricane, but we won’t be participating whenever it is.  We have four dogs and they’d be going nuts with all the kids running around so it’s easier to skip it. Bah humbug!

@FutureMuniz:  To be fair, SO and I are having our vagabond time in our lives with little worries or cares…. you know,… before all the responsibilities start….

This means we live in a sort of… ghetto area.  It’s not dangerous though.  He describes it as “where the drug dealers live and NOT where they work”.

If I were a parent I wouldn’t bring my kids to this area so I’m not surprised that we haven’t had any trick or treaters.  I am completely flabberghasted that our pumpkins haven’t been smashed by local hooligans though, and for that I’m happy:)

But I’m having a fantastic evening, thank you.  Hope you are as well!

We never had a single trick or treater at my parent’s house in 24 years. I live in an apartment now, and kids aren’t allowed in the building so no trick or treaters here either.

We didn’t pass out candy either. Even though all our lights were off, the doorbell rang and drove the dogs nuts.  This is my least favorite holiday. However, I do enjoy seeing the little ones in their costumes. They are so  cute! Btw, I don’t dress my dogs up.

@TwilightBlue:  I dress my dog up if I have a party to go to where she is allowed. I like incorporating her into my costume, lol.  I dressed as little red riding hood and dressed her up like the big bad wolf, lol.  Not this year though.  I’m obviously not out partying tonight haha.

no trick or treaters.  they don’t really celebrate it here.  the halloween custom is coming a bit more recognized though.  the malls were all decorated and they had costumes and candy in the stores.  it’s all fairly new to this area.

day of the dead is the main celebration.

I live in a condo so we can’t pass out candy even if we wanted to no one would come lol.

I take my son out and get dressed up with him. We have sooo much fun! We went to a trick or treat last Thusday, one tonight and our towns was postponed to early Saturday afternoon due to power outages from Hurricane Sandy. Can’t wait to get one more day of Halloween with my kiddo. We try to get as much fun out of this month as possible!

When we buy a house I will totally be going all out decorating the house, dressing up and handing out candy. XD
