@lovelylight99:  I’m not engaged yet so idk about the planning the wedding crying but I cry ALL the time watching Four Weddings! Even SYTTD makes me cry! Idk why I watch sometimes lol

ETA: I did just start custom making my ring & when the jeweler told me she wanted to set my yellow sapphire in yellow gold I had an epiphany that I could use the gold from my grandmother’s wedding ring that I received when she passed in my setting. When I realized it I started to cry & when I explained why I was crying my jeweler started to cry AND her employee. It was awful & funny.

@jigga143:  It even makes my SO tear up sometimes & she never cries about wedding stuff. I can’t help but laugh at her when she’s crying cuz some girl found a dress (while I choke back tears myself lol)

@lovelylight99:  I’m an emotional mess!! I think that may be the reason Im procrastinating my planning.  it’s normal for us to be emotional we’re girls for heaven sake:) I personally am tired of stifling my emotions! if I feel like a cry is coming on I let it out!  I feel refreshed after. But I really can’t wait for this to be over! Just go with whatever you’re feeling:)

Most definantly. Certain things will set me off like watching listening to potential wedding or first dance songs, thinking about our vows, thinking about when he first sees me all dolled up.

I’ve cried more than a few times and i’ve only been planning for a month!

@lovelylight99:  I know I thought about that too! I will be sad the whole  excitement of the  wedding  will be over.  We’ll have more time on our hands which could be good and bad:)

I think I’ve been treating wedding planning as more of a puzzle to be solved than actual Wedding Planning at the moment. Like – getting the numbers to fit in the right places to make the right amount, and fit the style. It’s a project.

Of course, now we’re getting closer to actually booking something and I get struck with moments of “OMG, HOLY SH*T, THIS IS REAL”, but that’s sort of nerves-terror emotion rather than anything else right now!

I cried a lot right after we got engaged but before planning. I felt over whelmed right off the bat. I really put off planning because I didn’t need the extra “stress” and “to do list” in my life. I still dont’, but I agree with chronicwhimsy…it’s a puzzle, and puzzles are fun!!

I also has my “holy sh$t” moment when I sent out the Save The Dates.

My one suggestion is, STOP watching a bunch of wedding stuff! I watched 4 “wedding movies” last weekend, which was fun since I’m in the middle of all that suff BUT I also found I was comparing my plans to theirs, in the back of my mind thinking our wedding wasn’t “good enough”, comparing my fiancee’ to Matthew Mcconaughey haha, and watching them actually didn’t give me a break from planning but rather put more on my plate to think about. AND…I went through a box of tissues!

Go out for a run, take some time to step back from it all and focus on being excited and joyful and hopefully that will keep the emotional mush-bag from setting in ๐Ÿ™‚

@lovelylight99:  I’m getting more and more emotional as we get closer to the wedding!

Just the other day I was at the gym and one of the songs we will use at the ceremony came on my iphone, and I just started crying while running! I probably looked like I’m crying from the pain ๐Ÿ˜€ A lot of things triggers it!
